Have another friend with a trailer in Tampa but they totaly live inside in Air Conditioning all summer. They want me to come down - have a place next to them available. But they play cards endlessly and I am not into that. I still want to get out and around while I can. I can have a room at the NY Masonic or Eastern Star
homes but it would kill me to give up my car - though that day will come.

Mrs.M, is 45.7 too young for those apartments? I'm sick of winter. I want to live where it's never colder than 45-50 and not so miserable hot in the summer that you can't stand to be outside. bills and checkbook and disappear. Maybe leave the bills - Interesting though, the State just made my disability Perm so I can move anywhere - even overseas and still get the checks direct deposited. So all you need these days is one draft credit card. Though for security I am splitting it in two. That way can always have a card at home if I lose a wallet. Learned that in Rome 3 years ago when friends got robbed touring the coliseum. Robbers left them in their shorts. It happens ever day.

My sisterinlaw moved from NY to Caman Broc the little Island near Grand Caman. I was going to go there but she wanted to OWN her house. To get it she remarried a local so she could build a house. Only people born there can own property. In a year she was dead - they fed her poison. Nothing ever happened to her husband who now has a 50 ft Tourist fishing boat. If I had gone there I would have got the same fate. Its a crazy world.

So I get three retirement checks now One from AT&T (30) years, One from Soc Security and one from the State Fund. I have 3 major medical plans and the VA so no longer have medical bills. They come in, but I just funnel them to the right payer. I can now live anywhere. I ask the State if they wanted to buy my case out and settle and they declined so now they have to pay every two weeks no matter where I live till death. OMG never said that before.

Mory...Glad you didn't go with your sister-in-law. That was awful. I use to swim 5 miles a day at the 'y'. Came in handy when I swam to far out in the ocean in Carmel. Very scarey feeling when your swimming as hard as you can toward shore but feel yourself being pulled out to sea. Thought I was going to get a free trip to japan for a while. Took over 3 hrs to get back to shore.
What do you mean, look at me, see the stiff leg walk below - I have a DVT Leg Thrombosis - can't stand or sit for long periods - that's all it takes. Take a blood Thinner so I don't get any more clots.

ONG Jake I swam at Carmel when I was at Camp Cook for Basic. I signed up at the enlisted club and was taken out fishing and swimming by old Cannery Row Himself.

I have felt a lot of Undertow but never got cauight in one. I was SCUBA off a Barge at Cold Bay In the Aleutian Chain while there during construction of a Dew Line Site.
The Japanese curr - caught us and the barge was being towed out - Only had a 50 Horse Mercury Outboard on it. Made it to safety by steering diagonally in and parallel to shore. It was a close call. Another time was fishing with a steel line and caught on to a bout 500 lb sturgeon - couldn't land it so had to cut the line with hatchet. That damn fish want to take me to Tokyo as well.

We have that situation here often, Jake. They warn people on the news and tell them to do exactly that! It would sure be terrifying!

MG: If you have a Oil Stain in the concrete you can wet it down and put DAWN Dish detergent on it overnight. If that doesnt take it out Find a AMWAY dealer and buy their garage floor cleaner - it strips the floor like new. If it's painted concrete I haven't any idea what to do/.
Our garage that was flooded only had socks stuck in the drains and Laundry along the door wall. It got 8" deep on the House end and a couple deep by the garage doors when they sprung. It was just enough to really
screw up the house & garage. The drains weren't conected to a sewer line only to a dry well under the slab. Finaly in the morning the water was in the basement lifting up the self stick floor tile. Just a simple adventure in puberty. Two weeks later
we could have grown mushrooms in the basement black Mold.

I won auction # 3590621842. It closed 3-3 & I paid the same day. On 3-9 I sent an email asking if seller received my paypal payment and he responded the same day and said he had. On 3-18 I sent another email asking if the book had been sent. I haven't received a response yet. It has been 17 days since the auction closed. How much longer should I wait? According to paypal doesn't a seller have to ship your item within 7 or 10 days of auction close? What should my next move be?
JAKE You were really Lucky but I contend it wasn't your time and think of all the people you have saved by telling your story... People DO have that NIH and it Won't happen to me attitude. I grew up in and near Glacier Park and all summer people were attacked by the bears while feeding them. In fact, all summer people are stopped at all main entrances to the State Park and told the bears are unpredictable. Yellowstone has gotten so bad they had to move the Garbage Dump 10 miles to lure the bears away from Old Faithful. They still have attacks.
Jake You were a much better swimmer than me - 6000 ft and I am a wreck. We asked all in our SCUBA class to do a mile though.
They only had to Buddy Dive 60 ft and bring up our pet Octopus to get a card. Great Fun.

OMG I ate two big bowls it was really excellent. but now with all that Salt I will have a hard time making my weight for Monday. I took some pills to flush it out. It was foolish but I had fun and enjoyed it. I'll freeze the rest for next month sometime.
