Two Auction Sniper snipes were made on eBay with my eBay handle. I did not create the snipes. I complained two times to AS, with no response to either complaint. I have also had two snipes, that I did create, reported by AS as blocked by seller. I contacted the sellers, they never heard of me and did not block my bids. I have complained two times to AS, with no response to either complaint. So much for 24 hour response. I don't think there is anybody home. As doesn't give a @$#*. Goodbye AS!!!

I guess changing your password would be too much to ask? We don't just randomly add snipes to peoples accounts.

Also we replied to your support case in 58 minutes. That's considerably better than 24 hours. The other case took only 49 minutes. We must have been asleep on the case before that one because it took a whopping 1 hour and 8 minutes. Yep, we suck. Goodbye.

Case Topic: You bid on two auctions with snipes I didn't create. Why?

Customer Posted Thursday, March 27, 2008, 4:23:03 PM You sniped 2 eBay auctions with snipes that I did not create. How could that happen? You failed to snipe 2 ebay auctions with snipes that I did create, but claim the sellers blocked my bids. The seller claims he never heard of me and did not block my bids. See ebay auctions 120235397267 and 110235251809 for these items.

Posted Thursday, March 27, 2008, 5:21:05 PM Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and I am really sorry for the inconvenience experienced. I have verified the issue and noticed that the snipe for the items (#120235397267 and #110235251809) could not be placed as you did not meet the buyer requirements set by the seller.

In case of both the items you were blocked by the seller as you either do not have a PayPal account or your PayPal account is not linked to your eBay account. You may confirm this information by clicking on the gray colored "View Confirmation" Tab adjacent to the respective snipe to view the eBay massage.

Please do let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Regards,
-Ryan D

Why would I lie. We replied to all 4 cases.

How hard is it for you to check the email confirmations we send you with links to your support cases. If you don't even know how to read a reply from a support case maybe you should just quit bothering to file them. You're just wasting both our time.

Since you seem to have problems and are in denial that we replied, let me help you.

1.) Log into our site first.

2.) here is the link to see your cases:
http://support.auctionsniper.com/listofCases.asp
That link is also on the Help page right next to the link to file a support case. So I'd have thought since you're filing cases you could also check them.

3.) That will show you 15 days worth of cases, but you can use the box to see more than 15 days. If you'd like instructions on how to click the box and then choose 30,60, or All let me know and I can give you step by step instructions on how to click.
Perhaps it's difficult to say goodbye to AS as it's a market leader. Wink

I guess this person's email filtered out the response so they didn't get the replies back from AS. Check out your support cases for the responses although it would seem that your dismay at AS's performance should be targetted at your own account setup - remember, AS bids as if it was you and reports back with eBay's response - I always check that response (mine normally say Bid Higher Next Time Scrooge!) but I guess your feedback was more complex.

As to the superflous bids, again you need to check the process your end. Did you set up snipes 'by mistake' whlst learning the ropes or has anyone else got access to your PC at home or at work. Were they on items you're intersted in (which would point at finger trouble your end) or on items likely to be of interest to others with access to your PC. And did you win the items - you didn't say!

It seems that this is the way of the world now. The OP here is aptly named--as a new (and likely to soon be former) AS forum member, he could serve as the poster boy for those newbies who come in, angry and ready to kick up some dust, when in fact they do not yet completely understand how AS works, or often eBay for that matter. We have always had a certain number of these, but over the past year seem to have gotten more such visits.

Even on the polite side, we get more members nowadays who are also new to eBay, and often do not understand their proxy bidding system, increments or a lot of other bidding business. Sometimes they come with confident, yet mistaken, notions of how eBay bidding works. At least they are cordial about their ignorance, as opposed to folks who come in here, loaded and ready to fire--or my personal favorites, folks who come into the AS forum simply as 1-5 post wonders--who ostensibly registered as forum members only to tell the AS community that they are leaving. They have a great desire to make a dramatic exit. When I am leaving a product or service behind, I simply go; I definitely do not wish to make a loud departure in front of complete strangers, as that seems pointless.

So my question is why are we getting so many newbies--both the courteous and untoward types--who barely understand eBay, let alone AS? In the past people tended to use eBay at least for a little while before waddling in here. I know that I, like many others here, got sniped a few times and that let me to locate AS--but this was only after I had come to understand the eBay system. The OP did not necessarily misunderstand eBay--though maybe he did, given his PayPal status. But certainly others come here as newbies to both--any thoughts? Confused
Sara B.: Why don't you give me the benefit of doubt, when I say that I have never received an email from AS. I created this message to try to get a response from AS and it worked. If I had received an email from AS with a link to AS's answer to my complaints, I would followed that link and replyed. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY EMAILS FROM AS, understand? Now that, hopefully, we have gotten past that, you show that you are waiting for a response from me on my complaints. Remember, I have not received any emails from AS, so I have not responded.
On one complaint, you state the bid was blocked because I either do not have a PayPal account, or it is not linked with eBay. I have a PayPal account and it has been linked to eBay at least 5 years. I have been an active member of eBay for seven years. I have been a member of AS for almost that long. I notice that everbody who has a complaint in this forum is classed as a Newbie. Is it possible that experienced users might have complaints with AS also? Nahhh!!
The complaint status report says you are waiting for responses from me. Remember? I have't received any emails from you. Please resend you requests and I will immediately respond. If I don't respond, you have the wrong email address.
JP - the emails that you (don't) get from AS just tell you to go look at the case - they contain no information or a reply.
So, you logged a support call, they replied and, like all two-way things, the ball is now back in your court.
Instead of posturing here, asking for emails to be re-sent and suggesting that the email address is wrong (why not check it at the same time that you change your password?!), why not go and look at your case(s) and see what their responses were? If they need further information or prompting then provide it and maybe this will get put to bed...

You might just be rivaling me in popularity.

Wonderful Rick!

Actually its a long time since I had such a "fan club" I do appreciate your secretarial effort - "Jolly Good Show " "Pip" Pip" and all that!

I am so pleased you have kept these "Pearls" for me (I gather the thread was deleted - I missed the action!)

I must really keep up more with things on the forum more, but providing for the three wives and sixteen kids (& the sheep) keeps me rather busy.

You must really look forward to me being rude to a few more innocents.

That's what I like about Americans, you do all try so hard to be polite to all people!

Over here, in the UK, we simply haven't time to build relationships - simpler to say "F**** O** you stupid ***** read up on eBay's proxy bidding!"

Two advantages:
1. They don't come back here again and start arguing the toss with you.

2. It stops the argument dead in its tracks.

Now Rick repeat after me "P*** O**"

There you can say it - stops a lot of bad feeling - yours!

Have a nice day!

Paul
OK, looks like a similar rant going on here as with another "foon" in another section of these boards!

So, I'll cut and paste my "pile on" response here as well as what I gave earlier in the other location. I hope the AS GODS don't mind it being in 2 places, but, saves my carpal from "tunneling" any further!!

My, what an education AS can provide!!!

I must say, I do love the "esoteric doctrines" the AS "boards" provide! Funny, what the few thousand miles or so creates, even though it is still called "English". I found myself straining almost as much as poor Elvis probably did during his fateful final moments, trying to understand all of the humor provided by the Camera, et al, but I got enough to get a very good chuckle! Thanks C-Dog, Rick, R2, and now poor Sara! Shame on you JP, don't you have any manners with a "lady"? You ALL have a flair with words!

JP - Dude, don't sweat it, you may be an "old-timer" with AS, but one thing's for sure, if you plan to "hang-n-bang" on these boards for help, you'll need to lighten up a bit, or the sharks will eat you!!!

The waves are RIGHTOUS, these dudes/dudette are just here to help you!!! You want help? First rule of thumb, humble yourself to the thought that, YOU AIN'T ALWAYS RIGHT, and, even if you THINK you are, these "boards" are just like a 300 bps async modem, slow back and forth, and prone to communications errors! So, just chill. Before you draw your dagger, you might ask the sender what they really meant, because you interpretted "X". But, that would also require some patience. But, considering how fast tech support responds, sheesh, you know what, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!

AS-Attack OUT - I think I'm gonna find my lighter, go hang out next to the dog, wait until he passes gas. FUN!
