No Bid Placed

I had the same problem. I was home and could have bid, if I didn't rely on AS. In 'MySnipes' nothing is showing in 'Status' and my max bid was far above what the winning bid was for eBay item 6112689642. Very disappointed as I really wanted to win and I was home and could have tried the ole fashion way!! What happened???

I had the same problem on an auction that finished at, guess when? 19.03 PDT 17 August. Seems like an Ebay problem, but we use Auction Sniper because Auction Sniper says it is good at coping with Ebay problems... I have put in my support request, so I hope to get the consolation of some free snipes.

I was sound asleep at 03.03 BST, so there was nothing I could have done about it. A pity, because I guess I might have cleaned up if I had made a manual bid!

I am surprised that NO ONE from AS has gotten back to explain what happen to those of us who lost bids on 8/17, that were properly ready to be sniped...... some sort of explaination or some consolations free snipes would be appriopriate here..... and more so an expalination so we can regain in trusting AS to do our bidding for us!!!

My experience with AS support staff has always been positive. But you do need to take that step of filing a case to receive direct help.

Hi Folks. Same problem here. I'd set up a bid group with three auctions. So far, I would have won two auctions if the bid was placed.

I got credit for one by going to the site listed in the forum. But, for the other (18822673) I get a message that says I was either already given credit for it (which I didn't receive) or that the item is not in the database.

In this case it's more a disappointment than a loss. The last auction (6918971741) in the bid group ends in about 2 hours. We'll see how it goes. Do me a flavor and please not bid against me on this one.

Well Folks, I lost the auction (item# 14687867).
There were zero bids. The reason for losing was: "Ready". There's something seriously wrong here.

We're placing your bids, click the confirmation button on our site next to your losing snipe. eBay has been having some issues for about the past week. They were most severe Sunday night an Tuesday. Hopefully they'll fix the problems on their end soon.

While we do mitigate most problems with eBay and slowness this particular problem is one we'd never seen, and so it wasn't adjusted for by us. We're making some changes to our bid servers to do what we can. It's a real ugly one though.

Even still less than 1 in 350 snipes was affected on Wednesday for example. If this happened to you I appologize. Usually in the past when this starts happening it's like this for about a month, then eBay gets more servers or something and the problems go away for 3-4 months.

Same thing happened to me on both ends. Lost a good snip, it didnt go through. And had a nice nailer, that should have gone for at least over $100, for a pitiful $66.00, the nailer right above it went for $154 with no snips or last minute bidding, so im pretty sure that very late bids or snips didnt go through.

And Ebay has loaded its servers down with so many ads and tracking ware. But i have found a solution to the ads,

For the other ware, i downloaded adaware and Yahoo's toolbar, which has a nice anti-spy program on it
