I've been using auction sniper forever, but yesterday I lost two auctions. Your site reports my snipes were not placed because "Ebay account verification required". I went to ebay and tested by placing bids directly which were accepted fine. I called eBay and they saw no problem with my account. This looks like an Auction Sniper problem. Please advise. Certainly don't want to risk losing more auctions because my snipes are not being placed. Thanks!

I had the same problem last week. Both Ebay and Auction Sniper claim it is the others fault. The problem seems to stem from the snipe being sent from AS's computer, which of course, Ebay does not recognize. Since many are using this service successfully there has to be a way to solve this instead of just pointing the finger at the other party.
Hello Community -

We have had some similar reports where eBay request verification at log in. Unfortunately, Auction Sniper is unable to work around such a request when eBay makes it, nor is it able to complete the confirmation request. eBay may present such a page at any time for any account.

Please keep in mind that our engineers make adjustments on our end to reduce the likelihood of such occurring, but as we are unrelated to eBay, we have no control of such requests when they occur.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

The exact same thing that bg58* posted back in NOVEMBER [copy now: [quote]I've been using auction sniper forever, but yesterday I lost two auctions. happened to me on yesterday (Sunday, 3/29/15) I called EBay first since the message I got from Auction Sniper said "EBay Account Verification Required," and found that there was NOTHING wrong with my EBay account!

EBay rep. Archie (Utah office ... my first call went to "ASIA," which was all the EBay rep. named Chix would tell me before she wasted 5 minutes of my time with broken English, finally professing that she had no idea how to help me because she didn't know what Auction Sniper was) explained that Auctionsniper is a 3rd party company after verifying that I had an outstanding account with EBay; then he gave me a telephone number -- the only one on file with EBay, which isn't even an -800 number, that went to a voice mailbox at Auctivia.

Huh? What?

After looking at this site, I see that people have given up trying to get problems fixed, because this is the THIRD time I've had problems with my Auctionsniper bids -- the crazy reasons they use when an auction is missed -- but this time, the THREE (3) items I was bidding on, but could not be home to bid on them personally because I had a wedding to go to on Sunday -- I needed to complete a very important part of a display in my doll museum. I was in nirvana when one of my favorite sellers' listed them and bid super high, higher than any sane person would bid for the items (and they sold for the rock bottom price the seller used to start the auction, OMG!!!) to make sure I got them.

The weird thing? There was a total of 5 items and they were listed approximately a minute apart. So, what happened to the other TWO (2) items? One, which no one bid on at all, and was not part of the 3 items I needed so badly for my museum display, had this notation from Auctionsniper: DID NOT SELL, even though I had the auction on my Auctionsniper list!

And, for the real "can you believe this?" moment? Remembering that there was just about a minute between the auctions, I WON the other item.

Somehow everything fixed itself magically and even though I listed it, and the other items properly, I won that ONE item, but lost 4 others with different reasons of explanation.

Somehow I think that posting this is going to be futile, but I'm going to try anyway.

Hey, people at Auctionsniper, you charge me for placing auctions, in my absence to be able to do it myself:

1) do you refund the money charged when you mess up, as was obviously done to me again yesterday?

2) who is running this business, and this website?

3) ever looked into getting a business -800 number so people can CALL to get help?

4) Can you PLEASE work with EBay to reverse the errors Auctionsniper made this week-end, since I am most likely the actual winner of the 3 items that were noted as "EBay Account Verification Required," since I now know -- from talking to an EBay rep that there is nothing they can do because, as a 3rd party company, Auctionsniper doesn't have that kind of access to our EBay records to be able to get account verification --

5) How can someone get a copy of your company's business report, or at least information as to the company's number of employees, physical location, etc. Somehow I have the feeling that there is only one person standing behind the curtain pulling levers and pushing buttons until Toto is able to pull back the curtain to reveal why no one answers questions, how these glitches happen without an email or website information to explain what happened, how many were affected, and at least an "I'm Sorry."

Someone asked (and someone there did answer the question, sort of) about reversing incorrect bids, such as what happened to me and at least the other person (Bg58*). The reply was that it would be looked into. WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME so I can decide whether to dump Auctionsniper for good, going back to planting my behind on my desk chair, doing my own sniping since my chances go up about 90% by doing so, and hey, if I do the job myself, no fees!

I'll be checking back often to see if a reply comes from the man, or staff, behind the curtain. Hugs, at least for now, Kat
Hello Community -

Unfortunately, Auction Sniper is unable to work around a request from eBay at log in that requires more than a regular log in. If you check the confirmation pages of snipes that show "eBay requires verification" for their status you will see the record of the last communication between Auction Sniper and eBay regarding your bid. (This is found using the small button on the extreme right of the title bar for any snipe, the icon on the button looks like an eye). Please keep in mind that this page is a snapshot of eBay's response when Sniper attempted to place a bid and is not an active eBay page.

Please also keep in mind that we only assess a snipe fee for items you win using our service - there is no charge if you do not win a bid, this is detailed under the pricing page of the site at: http://www.auctionsniper.com/h...tion-sniper-pricing/. Also note that Auction Sniper does not provide live technical support at this time, however, I have forwarded a request for such on to our Product Management team for their consideration.

Please also note our service is unrelated to eBay, so we have no way of knowing ahead of time when they may be making such requests and we are unable to intervene with eBay regarding the results of any auction that has completed.

Our contact information is available on the Contact Us page of the site at: http://www.auctionsniper.com/contactus.aspx

Please also be aware that our engineers make adjustments to our site to reduce the likelihood of eBay making such requests, but since we are unrelated to eBay we cannot control or predict their occurrence.
