In continuation of previous: Perhaps the way to improve one’s reading ability is to turn off the volume and turn on subtitles when watching TV.

I read that children under 5 should not watch anymore than 1 hour of TV per day. The rapid movement of the TV screen pictures affects their brain development. Thus, children that are left in front of TV as babysitters tend to have attention span problems along with other problems.
