I've decided to try this service out. I understand we have 3 free snipes. Will I need only one of them in order to win my one auction ending tomorrow? or is it possible for all 3 snipes to be used in one auction?

quote:Nope. Only one snipe per auction. (only one bid is place for you, but from four different locations) and are only charged the free snipe if you win.
is it possible for all 3 snipes to be used in one auction?
quote:If your auction ends in the evening and on an exact quarter hour (or a few seconds before) I would add a little more lead time. Maybe double that.
I've set my lead time to 7 seconds for an auction that is ending on Thursday night - Any advice?
quote:Actually, no. Sniping is to prevent bidding wars by placing bids very late. You CAN still get outbid. Remember that the bid amount that is showing on eBay may or MAY NOT be the other persons actual maximum. It's not the last bid that wins, it's the highest.
so all I have to worry is for other snipers right, getting in at faster lead times?
quote:So that would be a lead time of 23 seconds?
My personal choice is to use 8 seconds during normal times! On Sunday, during primetime, PST, PM between 5 and 8:30, I add 15 seconds.
quote:Wait, you add 10 seconds to the original 8 seconds or you add 10 seconds to your already adjusted lead time of 23 seconds, which would be 33 seconds lead time?
On the hour, half, and quarter hour, I add 10 seconds.

question for the future - what happens when a large # of people end up using sniping software - the system may become oversaturated with snipers and then the focus becomes the technology that drives the fastest lead times???....something to ponder!!
