Way back in 96 - one negative -
Complaint : Went thru with his bid. Great doing business with. :-)

Now does that sound like a negative - doesn't to me, but since eBay doesn't allow changes, or deletion of comments from users that are no longer registered, I still get that one stinking negative comment.

Actually there is a few ways for you to get it removed. Follow this link and you can find information on feedback removal: ***>>>>Click Here<<<<***

If ebay will not work with you, you can also have squaretrade mediate a removal for you, but it will cost you $20 I think. Eek It's up to you though.

That link was introduced to me by a fellow board member on the CGC forum. It is not part of the ebay system, but it is a great tool; especially for those powersellers with thousands of feedback Wink

Ebay emailed powersellers a newsletter a few months before the new feedback rating system was slowly integrated and asked for other suggestions on how they could improve the site. I suggested a feature which is similar to the link above, so hopefully they make something like this in the future. Razz

Enjoy everyone.

I can't figure out what you people are talking about. I went to this "click here", but all I get to is a general purpose "collecters forum" site to which there is nothing in regards to helping you change your ebay feedback listings....hmmm

The URL provided should take you to a post that has a person (notch_top) asking about feedback removal in a comics forum. The other URL takes you to a feedback search engine that weeds out neutrals and negative feedbacks given/received by an ebay user.

I just received my first negative feedback too and it's a bummer after receiving over 150 positives. On top of that it was posted by a non-paying bidder who objected to shipping charges that were clearly spelled out and were not at all high.

I failed to follow my rule and here it is: wait 58 or 59 days after the close of the auction before you post any negative FB on anyone. The person who posted the negative on me did so in retaliation for the negative I posted on them for being a NPB. (Their 3rd for that.)

eBay does not allow any FB after 60 days so if you wait 59 days you are far less likely to get retaliated on for what happened to me.

Fortunately I think most people who have been on eBay for awhile recognize that there are a lot of morons out there and 99+% positive is still pretty good, but I'm pissed at losing my 100% to one of those deadbeat morons.
EBay will remove retaliatory negative feedback if you can demonstrate that it is truly that. I'm not familiar with the procedure but if you click on the little "search" icon above and check out the Forum archives on "retaliatory" you may learn how to go about it. There's a site on eBay also.
WOW!!! Rickdogg, That LINK is some great information. I have always wondered why there wasn't a way to pull up the negatives on the feedback pages. Especially when the seller/buyer has 15 negatives out of 4,000 sales...how can one find them???
I have had a disheartening Frown (5) five negatives out of 366 ... from Three (3) 'Total Morons' and I can tell everyone that.... Ebay will not take them off... except maybe if you had a Court Order because the negative feedback was considered Slanderous in the eyes of the Court.
I do like bb66's idea of waiting until the 59th day if you need to leave a negative. Big Grin
I always put any troublesome buyer or seller on my 'Blocked Bidder' list so that at least I don't ever have to deal with them again. Wink

'If you're not worried, you're not paying attention.'
I must be the only person submiting to this post that DOESN'T like the new feedback boxes. I feel it gives a false sense of security to some people who will not bother to check the feedback, then again, some people never bothered anyway. A seller may have a 99% feedback rating but all the negs were about fraud, NOT a good place to bid! A seller may have several negs but they are all trivial nit picks. I still check manually, at least the ones for the last 6 months. Sellers can and do clean up their acts or fix problems with billing etc. Eek
I also like to see what the negatives are about, and what the person who got the negative had to say about the one who negged them. I like to know if it's something dumb, something I can live with, (such as "Seller took 4 days to contact me!!!"), or is it something that should raise a red flag and cause me to seriously reconsider dealing with them. I've hit the back button on more than a few auctions because of the type of negative feedback the seller had.
Right now I'm dealing with a seller who got negatives for slow e-mails, since, to me, that's notsomething worth negatives. And the item is great!!!!
