Whew! I knew I didn’t feel more or less rested this morning. Had a heck of a time finding a clock that didn’t automatically change.

You can always change your time zone in AS to agree with ebay. Of course, you’ll have to do that math. BUT, the amount of time remaining in the auction should be, more or less, accurate, depending on the time on your computer. The actual snipes are synchronized with ebay's clock which is synchronized to the Big Atomic Clock.
That's what I thought - why is she still looking there when I've explained that it is meaningless. For example, I just won something that showed 8 minutes to go on the My Snipes counter on my PC - if you 'update prices' it re-aligns itself but I say again "It's cr@p!". It quickly goes out of sync depending on the PC's processor speed and it misleads people (and Angels)!

Agree, but there needs to be some countdown (expectation) and after all these years AS hasn’t shown any indication that it’s going to change, AND (and this is very important) what would R2 have to complain about? (Don’t answer that - remember, one crusade a day.)

What I’m really curious about – why spell crap with “@”? Do you also use eb@y or Engl@nd? Something to do with the English keybo@rd?
Hmm, it's so as to not affend you Yanks. Hence b@ll@cks, p|ss, cr@p etc.

When I worked in IT support I always aimed to minimise customer calls by either fixing things or publishing instructions to get around a problem. Seems AS doesn't have this attitude hence the same old problems arising time and time again. Still, keeps you away from Bingo I 'spose...

Hi Guys (R2) you are so right about AS going out of sync - i ended up 'panic bidding' because AS was running 15 sec behind ebay and i was scared the auction would end before my bid was placed! Anyhoo afterwards i AS notified me that i'd won so it must have tried to bid but id already done it. The main thing is that I won what i needed and im now a happy Angel Red FaceD
