No JAMA I majored in Agriculture
but ended up as an Advertising Manager.
My trick was to know a little about
everything and then when you really foul
things up - call in a professional. I have lived on or owned a farm all my life so you pick up a few things. It's pretty hard not to.
Mory, your apt. doesn't have city water?
Sounds as though you did well with your Church oil fund raiser. That's great!

No, I have a spring behind my 150 year old building. the spring is tapped and a pipe runs into the basement into a big hand stone tank. I only pump up from this tank. There used to be a overflow pipe that ran out the front of my building. People came 30 miles to get the water in jugs. My landlord closed the pipe to cut down parking in front.
Also the liability of people falling outside in the mud in winter. The overflow then runs under the road to the creek. I was going to buy the building but the original blue slate roof needs
replacing for about 60 thousansd.

I am really getting P.....d at not being able to make corrections
I don't blame you Mory. At our age it wouldn't pay anyway.
$60,000? My goodness Mory, that is a lot of money for a roof. I can't imagine what it must cost to heat the buiding! Do you know the year it was built?
With all you know-how I imagine you never have to hire anyone to fix things for you! Golly, that is terrific! I wish I knew so much!

Lol, Jama, I guess he could cook the worker one of his yummy meals and get the work done for nothing, anyway!!
Yes, I can see that he is a terrific cook. A very talented man.
Mory, it's time to think about moving, not buying.
It needs a roof, and the kitchen floor is in the basement!

Hey there Puppy,
Remember I was going to go listen to a guy with a guide dog tell about his escape from the 78th floor of the North Tower of the WTC. Well, I missed it. I was wondering if you might have heard of him? I really want to hear his talk.

Jake, I remember a short something on the news a week or so after, but other than that, no.
Mory, really,I think Puppy is right about moving! I can't believe a landlord would be allowed to rent a house out in that condition.
I hate those numbers! Had to make another post to get to the next!!
Well they are running the NYC Marathon and I am up making biscuits - today is wood day and so am running the handle on the log splitter. My shift is
8 to 12 am. It's about 40 degrees but the windows on my car are frozen with ice. When it's cold I just remember the
9 years I spent in Alaska and it seems like a warm balmy day.
We are cutting & splitting 8 cords of wood today to carry some senior friends
through the NY winter. Wed I bought a trailer of logs for $400 and today we are choppin it up. I don't do any work but
serve the coffee and biscuits and run the
handle on the log splitter. A lot of good friends make the job go faster and easier. We need to work fast to get the wood up to the cabin before it gets buried in deep snow. We are getting fluries but nothing serious yet.
Gotta get my old but in gear - talk later.

Jama and Shirl are confusing me. I keep seeing Jama and thinking its Shirl.
Ohhhhh Lactation Brain

Lexie, if you don't stop rubbing that, it's only going to get bigger.
Hi, Lexie! How've you been?
(Shirl is Mrs. M.'s alias.)

Lexie, I like your avatar! Cute!

If the bump gets much bigger in the next 6 weeks we will be *selecting* a birthday rather than waiting ...waiting.....waiting.....waiting...

Hiya Christine I have been well. I knew Mrs.M changed her name to "shirl", but I see JAMA who has an old avatar of Mrs.M's and their posts are quite similar and I get confused. Same as when I see R2's avatar on a couple of the others I always have to look twice. This baby is sucking my IQ away, I know it.
Making that picture into an Avatar turned some curves to lumps.
No, I am not Mrs.M! Not now, never was! I was Sunny who is not Mrs.M, Lexie. Think you got the connection confused a little perhaps. But it is not important to me. These are confusing times it seems.
When rolling down the page I USED to know, without really looking, who was who.
Now I am totally cornfewsed and purplecksed - the only little pic I know is mine (Oh, and Jakes too).
GGG

Sorry, GG, I didn't plan to change it.
quote:That definitely sounds like M especially the last two sentences. But, with all the fantasies going on, what’s one more. It’s definitely safe to say this is still within the Miller family, as the last I heard you were engaged to M’s son. Anyway, I don't see that Lexie actually said you were M.

How did the wedding go?
