Hi all.

I recently set up a bid for an item outside my local region (overseas). eBay was not telling me there was a delivery restriction nor was the seller. When the bidding closed AS informed me there was a “Seller has blocked bidders from your location”. I obviously missed the item. I want to make sure this type of issue is not encountered again. Any thoughts on testing before the serious bid? Is there a check I can do that doesn’t have to do a test bid?

Thanks.

Hello Gatekeeper,

eBay allows sellers to place a variety of restrictions on who may bid on their items, one of which is the ship location - the shipping address in your eBay account.  Typically, you should be able to see where the seller is willing to ship to in the auction page itself on eBay.

There are no means by which Auction Sniper is able to provide a check, we do not submit your bid information to eBay until the final seconds of an auction and the status you refer to is based on the response from eBay at that time.

If you have further questions, please feel free to file a support case from the Help options on the site and we'll be happy to assist you.
