Lexie, do you buy clothes at yard sales and resell them or at stores when they are closing them out or what?
rsmiller40
rsmiller40
Bit of everything....my stuff, relatives stuff, sales etc. My MIL is sending some stuff over from the States so that will be great
MIL??
rsmiller40
rsmiller40
MIL = Mother In Law :P
Lol, well, it is the nickname for my husband and it left a blank in my head for anything else! I have sold and shipped a lot of things over to your side and it usually cost as much as the product. But, guess it is a long way to ship!...BTW, sometime when you have a few moments, I would like to know how you met your husband way over there>

Say, I liked your response to the member with the CD that they sold on eBay and now the buyer wants to return i.
I thought it was good advice.

I thank you most kindly, Billie. How is the weather up the this AM?

We are experiencing a good 'ol fashioned "Indian Summer" right now.
Temperatures have been gloriously mild. Yesterday the overnight low was about 60 degrees and the high was near 80!
Currently, the temps are 50 degrees with a high of 77 degrees expected. The skies have been sunny - absolutely a picture-perfect Fall!!
Can you tell this is my favorite time of year?

I sort of feel like an Autumn like this one is the reward we northerners get for putting up with the snow and sub-zero temps for the other 6 months!
Soon enough, I will be scraping the frost and snow off my windshield in the dark before I can get to work - yuk!!

Thought you would like to see who came for coffee this morning!!

Bilie, what people do not realize, unless you live here, is that we have our bad time of year too! For 6 months we have rain almost everyday. With the near 100% humidity, you cannot go outside for any length of time. Walla! Florida summer is Norhtern winter.

WHOA!!
GOOD Morning! He's a big one - I hope he's a friendly alligator!
(is he one of your other pets?)
Say Mrs M, I have to get ready for work, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to leave you to fend off that monster by yourself. Don't worry though, I will be back!
Have a wonderful day!

What about hurricans?
Seems like everyone gets there share of good and bad. Take California (PLEASE). Great weather but earthquakes and what nots.

I was kind of wired last night. None of the "down under" gang was around, but that's part of the fun of this forum. I never know what's going to happen. Completely unpredictable.
Looks like I just missed Lexie and Billie.
Hurricanes are so rare here. And, I have been in worse things, such as tornados in Tn and IN

That's why I like to run around the various sites. It can be time consuming, but there's some unusual stuff.
Posted before I was finished! Yes, they were both in earlier.
I agree, everywhere has their share of bad weather. I am just not a fan of high humidity. I don't think it is healthy. I like to bike and run and it just is very hard, but that's life.

How often are the hurricanes? (one would be enough for me)
"tornados in Tn and IN" - How many have you been thru?

I think it's healthy for the skin?
Well, I lived in Ft LAuderdale as a child and saw 2. Really nothing more than a really bad rain/wind storm. You know they are coming so you prepare. In Indiana, I SAW, but was not hit, a very bad tornado, about a mile from me that took out a 20 mile path . Also, I was in a blizzard there once where some people died. Tn, there was a tornado there where we lived thar sucked a couple from their house and drowned them in the lake. I escaped that one too. What about where you have lived, rick?

Mrs. M,
I was thinking maybe we could raise some money so that Billie and Lexie wouldn't have to work so much and we could keep them here longer. I seem to just miss them by a few minutes.
Actually, I was thinking about paying AS to let me post on this forum. It's been a lot more fun since you showed up. You've made everyone feel at home. I also enjoy everyone else, but I think they feel more comfortable with you around.
