Bilie, what people do not realize, unless you live here, is that we have our bad time of year too! For 6 months we have rain almost everyday. With the near 100% humidity, you cannot go outside for any length of time. Walla! Florida summer is Norhtern winter.

Well, I lived in Ft LAuderdale as a child and saw 2. Really nothing more than a really bad rain/wind storm. You know they are coming so you prepare. In Indiana, I SAW, but was not hit, a very bad tornado, about a mile from me that took out a 20 mile path . Also, I was in a blizzard there once where some people died. Tn, there was a tornado there where we lived thar sucked a couple from their house and drowned them in the lake. I escaped that one too. What about where you have lived, rick?

One of the nicest places I have been in the US was in Roseburg, Oregon. It was many years ago. I went to visit an uncle and fell madly in love with the place! I didn't like California. Seemed like you planned your life around a traffic jam, but I think it is a place you either love or hate. I have been able to travel many places in the world, Rick, and for certain, the US is the GREATEST!..IMO!
