I am a long time user of AS, and know how to use the system. Tonight, the system simply FAILED to place my snipe bid. This leaves me highly suspicious of trusting this site in the near future for desired items, unless the site can adequately address the problems it so obviously is having in an open forum.
As was posted earlier by another user in a similar topic line, the site still shows my bid as "Ready", though the item has ended. This failure is inexcusable, and if it is the fault of the site, as I'm sure this failure is, users should be compensated in some way.
Bidders beware.

I'm also a long-time AS user and had 2 important snipes mysteriously fail yesterday!
Items: 330039269151 (5pm 10/22); 270039355832 (8pm 10/22)

During this same time period I also won 2 sinpes: 110044408578 (7pm 10/22); 160041171471 (7:37pm 10/22) Very confusing!

The message was "Did Not Win" - not a helpful tip!

Over the years I have won many items thanks to AS, but these failures have me concerned.

Here are the snipes I lost out on
Item # 190043414648 "not in time"
Item # 190043414648 not in time
Item # 150048171625 not in time
Item # 190043232555 not in time
Item # 150048039562 not in time
Item # 150048039703 Unresolved Bidgroup Item
Item # 150046989690 not in time
I have not changed the lead time for my bids in the last year so what is going on!

Yes, My 3rd occurrence of "Not in Time"
"We sent your snipe to eBay at your requested time, however eBay did not accept your bid until after the auction ended. This occurred because you set your lead time well below our recommended 7 seconds, or excessive internet traffic prevented your bid from going through in time. This problem is nearly always caused by eBay and is beyond our control, but we do all we can to lessen the chance of this happening. In fact we monitor eBay's response times and compensate automatically. So rest assured that we are doing all we can and are giving you the highest chance of winning because of our automatic adjustments to compensate for eBay's current speed."

Something's clearly wrong here. Snipe time was set more than the 7 sec. recommended. They need a tune-up. Soon. Losing me fast, all it takes is once for me on a competitor's site - I'm gone.
