Ok , I've got a problem on my hands and I don't know what to do next. I sold a big item to a guy. He paid paypal,(took two weeks to clear..??) and now he keeps sending me emails saying "payment cleared when can I pick it up?" Ok, that's fine, but aparently every email I send him is not getting thru. So I find out he has two emails and send to both of them. Still no luck. So I got his phone number from ebay...disconnected. I went to the auction and sent him an email from "question from ebay member". Weird thing was less than an hour later I got one back from him from the same place still saying he is waiting to hear from me. I don't know what to do. I can't get ahold of him. He's already paid. Is he trying to make it seem like I'm ignoring him so he can file with paypal and get his money back? His feedback says he has ignored emails before. But I would expect that before he paid not after. I've sent him my phone numbers and ebay sent them. I noticed he signs his name Mark, but the ebay info said Andrew. Hmmmm, what would you do? I'm more than cooperative and ready for him to get this big thing out of my way! But I can't seem to get an email thu. Oh, one time during the delay with paypal processing his payment I sent him an email. He answered that one...finally. So I know he as gotten at least one of the emails I sent. He uses AOL and I know that's a poopy server. I've sent him email from both of my addresses, and had my son send one for me from his. It surely can't be rejecting all of them. Confused
I'm just a (patched up) Raggedy Ann in a Barbie doll world!

Keep a copy of all the email sent so far.

Do all your future messages (to this one) via eBay. You can do that by going to his feedback page, and clicking 'Contact Member'. Make sure 'Copy me' is checked. That way you get a cc: and can prove it's been sent.

Probably, you are blocked somehow, and they don't realize it.
...wonder if they have eBay messages blocked too. Confused

I'd ask eBay what to do.

Good Luck.
MG, is this for the desk you mentioned? Not important, just remembered you auctioning it and mentioning it here. I would not worry. Sounds like you have done all you can do. He knows how to contact you by phone and you have his cash. Like Puppy said, just keep a copy of all correspondences. This IS a strange one! Why did it take two weeks for his check to clear? I wasn't even aware they gave anyone that long! Wow!
Are you getting emails from his server telling you your messages have not been delivered? If not, the problems his, not yours. You've done everything you can.

Try sending an email with a return receipt. he may have it disabled but if he hasn't you'll find out whether he's getting them or not.

Finally if you message him through eBay's "contact member" he must get it, surely, or even eBay can't get him.

GG.

I agree, 'cept I'd spend the few bucks more to certify w/return receipt the mailing. In the mailing I would suggest the post sale details be arranged by phone since YOU'VE seemed to have experienced e-mail problems (diplomatic approach & no need to point fingers at this point) and include your contact phone number(s). If/When you receive the return receipt, I would think the ball squarely in his court!
Finally got an email back from him this morning. He "said" he couldn't answer because he was in meetings all day.....hmmm, I answered him right back twice! He couldn't have been far from the computer. And what about the emails for the past two weeks? I had also reported his bad phone number to ebay so maybe they scared him. And to paypal so.???? I did send him mail from three different addresses and he answered back on my second one.??? who knows. I use yahoo and it has gone goofy trying to keep up with the new google gmail server. I also heard aol was bombarded with junk mail because somebody sold names to a spammer. Maybe he's just a really unorganized guy!

Mrs.M- yea this was that desk. I listed it with a reserve and a local lady ran it up to that in the first couple days. It had 15 people watching it so I really expected a bidding war at the end, but only got this guys one bid a day before. I got a good price for it so it's ok, but twice as much would have been fantastic!! I do hate to part with it.....just no room.
I don't know why the payment took so long. I asked paypal and they never gave me a reason. Maybe because it was more money they "sat on it" to make some interest?
LOL Here's another good one! I sent the message to paypal that I needed to contact this guy and his phone number was bad and etc etc (see above) This is their "help".........

Thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize for the
delay in
responding to your service request.

You will need to get this information from him.

maintaining the privacy of its members. For this

If I could have gotten in contact with him I wouldn't have had the problem.....not being able to contact him!!Duhhhhh Roll Eyes
