I was getting so annoyed with losing out on items I really wanted because my fingers (arthritic) aren't fast enough to beat the last-second bidders. Finally I decided, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
In the process of using my three free snipes I learned more about Ebay bidding than I ever bothered to learn before. I learned, above all, 1) to shrug if off and let it go if I don't get my price; and 2) to be patient - eventually the stars will align and I'll get what I want at the price I want.
Today as a perfect example. An item I wanted at a low starting price, and zero bids all the way down to 30 seconds before the auction ended. (The seller had mispelled the brand name, which may have helped.)
In the last 15 seconds, two people bid, but AS nabbed it for me in the last 5 seconds! Instead of being stressful, watching the "action" unfold was fun.
Thanks AS for a great experience!
