I'm not positive, but I dont think you can refresh as often as you'd like. Each refresh we go out to eBay for each and every auction on the page. If you have 30 snipes, that's 30 connections to eBay. I'm not sure but I believe we keep track and you can only do it every 3 hours.

I'll see if we can get an except for items ending in the next 5 minutes to let just those items be refreshed.

Thank you
Here's a "nice" Q.A. email I sent to AS today. I cannot believe how messed up this AS system is - not leaving a good impression on me for my first 2 days of using it. I ACTUALLY LOST A BID THIS MORNING BECAUSE AS DID NOT PUT MY BID IN BEFORE THE CLOSE.

NOW THAT IS BAD NEWS! Mad Confused

I thought I was the only person going through this UPDATING OF MY SNIPES HELL.

Anyway, here's the email I sent to customer service regarding this matter and the craziness of figuring out who is more crazy, me or the AS system. Enjoy!! Big Grin

Outbid Notification email for Ebay Product #1364317909

Your system is acting very strange. I received an email this afternoon at 9 Jul 2002 14:56:19 -0700. It shows the following message:
Auction Sniper Outbid Notification
eBay Item: Fujifilm FinePix A201 2 M Digital Camera Fuji
(Item # 1364317909)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your maximum bid is 150. The current minimum bid is US $ 150.00 with 3 hours, 9 mins + left before the auction ends.
In order to win this item, you will need to increase the amount of your maximum bid. Click here to increase the amount of your bid.
----------
I then check ebay at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1364317909
Time and date stamp: Jul-02-02 18:06:17 PDT
Current bid shows: $147.50
-------------------
I then go to your line auctionsniper.com to check on my snipes. I click on radio button for this item and click on "Update ITems Info."
After refreshing, system shows correct bid amt. ($147.50)
My MAX amt set for this snipe is $150.
------------------------------
Now, my item description box shows a yellow background with RED TEXT and it says "WARNING - Your max bid is below the minimum allowed for this item!"
-----------------------------
Huh? Am I missing something?
Why is AS telling me to bid higher than $150 when the bid is 147.50??
------------------------------
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN, I show one of my other snipe items as
READ to BID, but the current Ebay bid price shows $6.00.
MY MAX BID IS $3.00 - However, your system does not show my bid as been UNDER the current price. of $6.50
Item: 2037139333
Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2037139333
--------------------------
Thirdly - again, don't forget I have refreshed all items on my snipe list and the status is still wrong.

Last on the list
Item: 2118532829
Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2118532829
It is a CLOSED AUCTION. It ended.
However, after refreshing AS, it still shows my BID is TOO LOW.
My bid was $11.75, but AS never got my bid in and of course, I LOST.

------------------------
If this keeps up, I will have to make a statement on epinions.com or the Better Business Bureau to clear this problem.
Looking forward to a fast and good explanation.

Mad Mad Eek Red Face
1.) your bid of $150 is fine. Our system incorrectly is saying that with you are only 1 bid increment higher. That will be fixed.

2.) we only check once a day when auctions start for outbid. However we correctly display that the current bid is $6 and yours is $3. Wait a day and it will go yellow as well. Or you can manually eyeball it as you did.

3.) your bid was too low. We did place your bid, you are wrong. The minimum bid increment in that price range is 50 cents and your bid was only 10 cents higher than the current bid and thus eBay rejected your bid.

Thank you
Hi Don,

Thanks for contributing to our forum. I believe you must be referring to the "Update Prices" button, which is located just to the right of the “Choose Folder” drop down menu when you are looking under the “Active” tab on your My Snipes page.

If you are unable to see this button within your account, or if you are referring to something else, please feel free to contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab within your account and selecting the “Contact Support” option and we will be happy to continue working with you on this.

-Mike
