Hello

Give the thumbnails some time. We add them after you add a new snipe (so they may show up within a minute or within an day depdending on how many snipes there are). This speeds up the time it takes to add new snipes significantly.

Hi Neva (and others),

We search for thumbnails all day...but that doesn't mean every auction has one. We use 3 different methods to find thumbnails, but some auctions simply don't have any pictures associated with them. When this is the case, you will see our logo instead of a picture of the item.

Hi Neva,

I knew I should've been a little more clear right after I posted that. Even though some auctions will have pictures, they may not be appropriate for thumbnails (ie: they may be too big!). But, I'd be happy to take a look at a few of these auctions you are wondering about. Can you provide me with a few item #'s?

Thanks
Adam
Hi Adam R.,

Oohhh...pic size. And for me, the bigger and clearer they are, the better I like them. That makes a lot of points with me as a buyer.

I can't give you the auction numbers here, Adam. I would give up my mystery sniper status, hehe!

Hi Neva,

I agree -- the bigger and clearer the picture the better, but sometimes they would take too long to load as thumbnails...so our system ignores them.

If you would like to email us at support@auctionsniper.com with those item #s, I can take a look. Unless you're afraid I'll snipe them away from you. Wink

Adam R.,

I won't bother you guys with my missing thumbnails. It helps (me, at least) understand and expect some missing thumbnails. On to bigger and better things, I say. Smile

I ascribe to the Barney Fife theory: "Nip it. Nip it in the bud." I think it would behoove the Powers That Be (PTB) to enlist a good tech writer (or another one, if an existing one is spread too thin) to more thoroughly and accurately describe Auction Sniper features and usage, AND to make it logical/easy to find. Much confusion would be eliminated. Not all confusion, of course. Even I can be pretty dense sometimes! hehe (embarassingly so, I might add)
