In only ONE case that I can think of would you raise your own bid by bidding again -- that would be IF your current winning bid is LESS than a full bid increment over your competition. You placing a higher bid at that point would result in your winning bid to increase to 1 full bid increment over your highest competing bidder. Regardless of whether you win via your proxy bid or your snipe bid, AS will be charging its snipe fee.
