Clearly the dummies at Ebay have decided that they're killing server based sniping services. Who knows why they decide 75% of what they do. I think sometimes it's just to justify that they haven't had an innovative idea in 20 years. Maybe an Ebay exec told them that blocking people's bids will somehow make them more money.
What is clear is that they're intermittently purposely blocking your IPs and putting up the CAPTCHA challenges. And pretty soon it won't be intermittent, it'll be all the time.
And I get it Auction Sniper, your current business model is dying so you either ignore complaints about it, send back the form letter saying it isn't your fault or delete the posts.
But you can fix this if you develop an app to run on users computers. It seems like a step backwards from server side bidding, but that is going to be over.
I wouldn't be thrilled to have to keep an app running all the time, and I know you're not thrilled because you'd need to change your business model, but snipe services are coming to an end and it is do this or start developing server side applications that have nothing to do with Ebay.
Tell us you're pulling your heads out of the sand and going to work on the software to run locally. Don't wait until it's too late and we're all gone.
