Just thought I'd add a little update. This problem is still popping up for me. I haven't won an auction since the problem on June 30th. I sent the info off to support, they didn't have any real answer but did assume that the issue was on their end. They offered me three free snipes, which never showed, and I haven't heard anything else about it. I may have to look into another sniping service, or worse yet, manually placing each bid for all the world to see on Ebay. Once again, if someone knows what is going on, or how to fix it, post it!
Could you provide auction numbers? That would be helpful so we can see what occurred during the auction.

Just remember one thing: There is no way to tell whether or not you would have won the auction, since you do not know the full amount of the winning bid. All that shows is the amount needed to beat the second-highest bid listed. For all you know, the winner could have bid ten times the amount shown. This does not change your situation, I know, but it may make the loss a bit easier to digest. Frown
It sounds like there might be a problem with bid groups. When we can't determine for 100% that you didnt win the previous item we cancell your bids on the next items in the group until we know. Unfortuantey this probably wont have a chance to be investigated until Tuesday morning due to the 4th of July holiday. Filing support cases with item #'s and bid group names will be helpful for when the programmers check into this.
Every support case created was submitted with all relevant auction numbers and even referenced previous case numbers on the same issue that may have been closed on Auction Snipers end. However, in the hope that one of you may shed some light on the matter, here is the complete list of auctions lost, all giving the ebay "Confirmation for this item was not available" error.

All items were part of the same bid group, the bid group is configured to end once I win three items, all auctions were set with between a 5 and 7 second lead time. This bid group has been continuously active for about a week, during which I add about 15 to 20 new auctions every day as old ones end.
Loss #6
New Mp3 Player 128 MB VoiceRec USB Pen (NR!!)
(Item # 5707889169)
Seller: juice_kiss
Your Max Bid: US $31.00
Current Item Price: US $27.00

Your snipe did not win because of the reason above:
Confirmation for this item is not available.

I understand losing auctions, I even expect to lose 15 to 20 for every one I win because I want an excellent deal. However, with AS I should be able to make sure that everyone that beats me is willing to pay more than 31.00 for the item, and that isn't happening. My bids, according to support are being placed but somehow not being processed by Ebay on time. I'll increase lead time to 15 to 20 seconds, and let you know how that works out.
Doesn't make much sense, but I'd try it anyway...     Create a new bid group and move existing auctions from the old one.

I'd leave the old one with auctions that have already ended with bids not placed in case the programmers want to have a go at seeing what's been wrong.

If you still haven't gotten the free snipes promised, try putting in a few 'no bid' auction numbers at http://www.auctionsniper.com/freeSnipes.aspx
For a few days there I thought the problem was licked but I was wrong. I waited a day or so for all the auctions in the old bid group to end. I started a new bidgroup, and began again. In fact, I managed to win one. However the big bad "Confirmation for this item is not available" is back, in my new bidgroup.

Here is the info on my most recent loss:
128MB MP3 WMA Player USB Flash REC FM Radio LS138 Black
(Item # 5709304978)
Seller: ls_international
Your Max Bid: US $32.00
Current Item Price: US $24.33

I have 50 items coming up that are still in this bidgroup. I suppose on the offchance that doing the bid group dance and moving em all to a new bid group works, I will be moving them. But this can't be a real solution. As always, if anyone has any insight into the problem...post away!
