Could you provide auction numbers? That would be helpful so we can see what occurred during the auction.

Just remember one thing: There is no way to tell whether or not you would have won the auction, since you do not know the full amount of the winning bid. All that shows is the amount needed to beat the second-highest bid listed. For all you know, the winner could have bid ten times the amount shown. This does not change your situation, I know, but it may make the loss a bit easier to digest.
