Today a snipe went unplaced, clicking on auction sniper's EYE icon (to see the ebay page that was the response to the attempted snipe)shows that the bid wasn't placed because ebay detected that auction sniper signed in from a computer that wasn't my home computer: "It looks like you signed in from a different computer. Before you continue, we need to verify your identity and confirm it's really you. Choose how you'd like to receive your confirmation code, BY PHONE or BY EMAIL."
Similarly, several snipes went unplaced last week when the ebay required a CAPTCHA before placing the snipe "To keep eBay a safe place to buy and sell, we will occasionally ask you to enter a verification code. This helps us to block unauthorized users from entering our site. Please enter the verification code in the image below and click on the "Continue" button to enter our site."
Wondering if anyone else has seen this?
I've read in the forum that auction sniper is attempting to address the CAPTCHA issue, but what about the new requirement of a confirmation email sent to my home computer before accepting a sniped bid?
