Hi all. I won an eBay auction today but the seller is not responding to my emails and messages. He hasn't been responding to my requests for more information about the item either (4 messages before today in the last 5 days). I haven't paid yet and obviously will not do so until he makes contact. What should I do?

No contact? Have they sent you an invoice? Have they left feedback for anyone or listed new items in the last 5 days?

If the answer is no, they may be having computer trouble, be in the hospital, or have some other kind of emergency. (or maybe not).

If the answer is yes, sounds like you're being ignored.

You just won today and it's Sunday. Give them a few days. After that, you can get their phone number to call, or address to write through eBay.   >Click<
Also check >THIS< link if all else fails.

WELCOME to the forum, and Good Luck.

p.s. I don't think I would bid on an item if the seller didn't answer questions. If you get bad service before the sale, you will likely get the same after.
Thank you all for your welcome and the helpful advice. I was wondering whether he might be in hospital or jail, so I haven't sent any rude messages, thankfully. Still no contact from the seller despite my messaging through email, eBay ask seller a question, and eBay Contact Member. I haven't pressed the "request total" button (yet).

Here are the seller's vital statistics:

No Current Items for Sale by janaahunt.

He (she?) did have a number of other items for sale all ending at the same time; I cannot find what happened to those items. I suppose they sold.

He did send an invoice but not for the postage (I live in Australia) so I do not know how much I am supposed to send. I would use PayPal, which seller accepts. I haven't paid yet. Should I just stick it out and wait for him to contact me? Would PayPal reimburse me if I sent the money but did not get the item? Should I just forget all about it? Maybe I will just post a letter now that I know how to get his address from eBay. A get well card?

Thanks again for your input.
I have Jana's phone number now but not her postal address; only limited information is available to international eBayers. I could leave it a few days and then phone her; or as she was sent an email by eBay with my phone number too I could wait for her to phone me? I would quite like to complete the transaction if I thought she and the item were genuine. I was biddng on an old camera advertised as "Beautiful Camera!! Great Condition!! Body & Lense, 55mm f:1.2. Sold used as is". I wanted to make sure that this meant that it was in good working order and without dings fungus major scratches and so on. I bid US $200; a good price if as portrayed.
Thanks Dave. There is a time delay of course; it is late evening here; so it would have been on Saturday that the auction took place your time. Thanks Puppy Raiser, I wrote to the other bidder to see if he is in contact with the seller. I know I sound impatient, but is a week now since I first started trying to contact the seller. I wrote to eBay help too to notify them of a problem. Thanks everyone for your help. I'll let you know how it pans out.
