Well, Sadam Hussein had $750,000 USD in $100 bills with him when he was captured this past weekend. What if each of these bills were put up for bid on ebay? How much do you think 7500 bidders would put up to own this collectable piece of history? How much would the govt. be able to multiply the cash? -- 5 x face value? 10 times? more?

It IS intriguing to think about!

Mrs.M,

So if I offer the govt. $1 million for them, I'd probably get my money back out? Wink Maybe I could get Saddam to autograph each one!

5x face value sounds reasonable, BUT you must remember these bills ARE limited -- when they're gone, they're gone! Not only that, the story of "Saddam C-notes on eBay" would get national -- no, international! -- news coverage! I could see some going for 10, 20, 50 times face! Especially if there would be some type of certificate of authenticity, and maybe frame/mount each one.

Now what bid do I hear for Saddam's uneaten Mar's Bar?! Wink

Puppy,

I looked at your link to the Sag.coin auction -- $473 for a $1 face value?!?! Eek Wow! That's even better than I could hope for a Saddam c-note! An equivalent mark up would be over $47,000 for a Saddam $100-bill!?! Eek Or about $35 million for the lot!?! I'll do all the listing & processing for a paltry 10% cut! Wink
