Runtime Errors & snipes not being placed because of login issues on ebay

currently cannot view any pages from auctionsniper. cant login, cant go to the homepage, cant view edit or place snipes...

tested on latest firefox and IE with same result....

Error Message:

....and AS is not logging into ebay successfully and as a result snipes are not being placed as mentioned in this thread:

thanks for the update regarding auctionsniper being down mike d....look forward to resumed activity & good luck getting those problems resolved

what about the ebay login issues which seems to be a separate issue altogether?
is it reasonable to assume that auctionsniper will NOT be able to place a snipe if ebay is not functioning correctly at the time of the intended snipe?

I do not have any direct knowledge of the eBay login difficulties you reported experiencing, but technical issues on eBay's side of things which impact the ability to login could certainly prevent our system from placing snipes on behalf of our users.

By the way, in case you did not catch my latest update in the News section of our forum, the Auction Sniper site and services should now be up and running once again.

I am very frustrated because I was bidding on a very rare item and would have won. I then got hte following email from auctionsniper -

good to see AS back online....it seems fine here and i am able to access usual features

i lost an auction last night that i had placed a snipe on. the snipe was not placed with the reason 'bid too low' despite being well over the auction end amount.

in the sniper report the 'Click here to see eBay's response to your snipe' opens an ebay page with the following:

and zoeabbymom's comment above (which is identical to my experience)it seems it is not the first time it has happened to users here...have you guys got any idea of whats going on with ebay and have you investigated the login issue which stops snipes being placed?

ive sniped (utilising AS) at least 30 ebay purchases and have never encountered this issue prior to this occasion...somewhat disconcerting as the whole point of sniping is to be 100% confident that the snipe will be placed.
