eBay was recently hacked and in response I have gone to their site and changed my password. Since Auction Sniper acts as my bidding agent over there, the password here has to be synched with the new eBay password.

I have followed the "Modify Account" link, entered my new eBay password and clicked the "Verify your eBay information" button, but AS responds with the following error:

"Cannot verify your eBay login information - Your AS username and password must match exactly what eBay has. Please update your account by hitting the 'Modify Account' link at the top of the My Snipes page. If you have any further questions, please file a support case on the 'Help' tab."

Seems like I'm doing it right.... any suggestions?

Hi KenBuzz,

Thanks for posting your question here.

I reviewed your account and confirmed that your Auction Sniper account still has not been updated to reflect your new eBay password and, based on what you described, it sounds like you may not have clicked the "Save" button at the bottom of the "Account Information" area.

In order to update the password on file with your Auction Sniper account, you should just need to do the following:

1) Mouse over the “My Snipes” tab and select the “Modify Account” option
2) Enter your new password in the “eBay Passsword” and “confirm password” fields under the “Account Information” tab
3) Click the red “Save” button at the bottom of the page
4) Once you have saved the changes, click the “Click Here” button under “Verify your eBay information” and you should receive confirmation that your future snipes can be placed properly

I hope this clears things up. If you need any further assistance with this, please feel free to contact our Customer Support team directly from under the “Help” tab on our site and we will be happy to continue working with you.

-Mike
