Puppy,
Some very creative combinations. Tough one.
Let me know if you delete it. You know how I feel about posts-retractors.

VERY cleaver. You're still the "ultimate techie". The solutions always make sense, once they've been solved.
Ok, I'm trying this.

Hi Linda, use the button under the reply box. Paste the gif into the pop up window and click OK.
This is UBB code, not html.

See you r still having fun with each other, (not too many toes being trodden on)

But, whenever you get the right link, post it like this:

You will need Lexie to help you with that one. AU gifs are numbered instead of using city and state. She got hers, working.

Did a google search on "Underground Weather Brisbane". Brought up the page. At the end of the URL it gives the Underground Weather code. Then you insert the code into their standard banner URL. Didn't figure that out until AFTER the DC thing.
Rick,
Saw your thread on manual sniping in the help section. I was doing something similar before I found AS, and had it down to an art, was getting most of my bids in the last few seconds (although I missed a heap and now realise it was the busy times where the delay was longer). Learnt heaps from this today...

What did you use to "time" your snipes?
luedsthegreat,
You're a night-owl. Too bad. Lexie (aka bartelby, Aussie) doesn't have anyone to chat with in the evenings (9 PM to 2 AM PST - give or take) / mornings (Australia).

Had 2 pages open, one with my bid ready to roll (on the eBay site where the auction was held. ie;ebay.com for us, ebay.co.uk for uk etc, noticed extra delay if bidding through ebay, com.au) and the other open to the auction.
I used my computer tray clock (open to give the seconds), worked out the delay by refreshing on the minute then timing it so it would have 2-3 secs to go, no chance of bidder retaliation if the proxy was not set higher. Worked like a charm

Ya,
I tend to kick off late, especially when bidding on goods, as I like to be around when most of my auctions are closing.

The good ol' days. It did add excitment. Especially when the response time gets flaky.
