My husband is now in love with AS. I knew he'd come around eventually! Cool

We are preparing for our next camping trip and he wants to get a set of walkie talkies. He found a really nice set at Radio Shack for $80. I told him thatr we'd get them at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, I went to eBay and searched for some and found what I thought was a nice set, so I sent him the link for the thing and he tells me that that was what Radio Shack was selling. He said to try and get it for $55. Rather than bid I put in my snipe for $55 and then had to tell him that we won it for $15.50!! He spent 2 days grilling me on how AS worked and did I really believe that I could win for his price? Who is he kidding! lol Big Grin

Next was a screened canopy that I won for $50, he thought I was joking! I actually had to show him that we won a $129 screen for $50! He is now so excited that he wants me to "snipe" the last 3 large items that we need for camping. It felt funny to tell him that I snipe 99% of my stuff! Proves my point that he doesn't listen to me! lol

Don't you agree Mrs. M? It's like they hear sound coming from you and their brain goes "blah blah blah blah". And then they have the nerve to say "what?". Roll Eyes
My hubby used to say he had bad ears and couldn't hear me. So I got him to take a hearing test. They said he was fine unless there were alot of other people talking around him. Heh, must be hearing voices in his head when I'm talking then, because it's just me. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Last summer one of my kitties, Maddie Maye, caught a hummer. Had the poor little thing in her mouth. I got it away from her and it flew off, but she caught it again. I was afraid it was hopeless as the feathers were scattering. She doesn't know to eat one, just likes to catch things and play with them. I got it out of her mouth and sat with it rolled up in the bottom of my shirt for about half hour. Then I took it into the garage and put it in a box. It wasn't looking good. I really didn't think it was going to live. It peeped a few times, and finally stood up. So I went out and got the feeder and put it in the box too. The hummer walked over and started to drink. In a few hours it was flying around the garage and drinking so I figured it was ok to open the door. We saw that hummer at the feeders alot last summer. Minus all but one tail feather!! We called him lucky. Smile

Mory - we used to have humming birds here during the summer, but I haven't seen one in several years Frown Don't know if it's due to pesticides, changing weather or just because my neighbors moved and the new residents don't have the back yard full of flowers. The only thing that seems to be drawn to my flowers are aphids!
