Last summer one of my kitties, Maddie Maye, caught a hummer. Had the poor little thing in her mouth. I got it away from her and it flew off, but she caught it again. I was afraid it was hopeless as the feathers were scattering. She doesn't know to eat one, just likes to catch things and play with them. I got it out of her mouth and sat with it rolled up in the bottom of my shirt for about half hour. Then I took it into the garage and put it in a box. It wasn't looking good. I really didn't think it was going to live. It peeped a few times, and finally stood up. So I went out and got the feeder and put it in the box too. The hummer walked over and started to drink. In a few hours it was flying around the garage and drinking so I figured it was ok to open the door. We saw that hummer at the feeders alot last summer. Minus all but one tail feather!! We called him lucky. Smile
