I am MOST disappointed in that I had a $400+ Snipe FAIL last night because of this issue. I've NEVER had any type of CAPTCHA image pop up on eBay, nor even knew they were employing such nowadays.

In reading the referenced thread below, I note that it is Dated October 30, 2007 Shame, shame Auction Sniper. I would have expected some sort of NOTICE from you-all about to my email account if it could have caused SNIPES to fail.

Until now, AuctionSniper has had a perfect, spotless record since I've been using them. I've always been SUPER pleased with their service and never had any complaints.

However, missing a snipe of this magnitude for an off-the-wall reason such as (and I quote) "Invalid UserId/Pass" puts a big black mark on their track record.

NOTE: In fact, my UserID & Password were correct.

My guess is eBay has recently implemented some sort of extra security measure when placing bids and now requires a CAPTCHA verification input??

In short, THAT'S ONCE AuctionSniper.

Do you REALLY think that's going to accomplish anything, other than to make you feel better?

Now, before you fire on an gun chamber that's empty, in short, have you tried following the recommendation and strengthening your password? If yes, have you tried this link: http://support.auctionsniper.com/
