I bid quite often on items that I enter a snipe and win because I am the only bidder via a snipe. I have one seller I snipe quite often and sometimes will NOT snipe because I know he has an item listed for more than it is worth...He will relist it for a lower price if he gets no bids...
HOW ABOUT THIS:

Have AS sneak a peek at a predetermined time to see if there are bids...IE 10 seconds before or gutsy...5 seconds before then if bids fire my 3 second snipe...If no bids...hold your fire....

This will save me lots of money over the course of a year.

ya know I have done the same. I have learned somtimes the lower the starting price the higher the final...example...Snowmobile helmet...first time around listed at $50.00...no bids. I hold off...second time around relisted at $25.00...closed for $73.00.

OOPs....However...

Broken Ipod listed first time around $25.00...no bids...I hold off second time around relisted for $10.00... I snipe at $17.53 and win for $13.53.

The thing I am after is the no bid...no snipe situation because more often than not I will not snipe on something that has zero bids unless I really want it...AS would get more revenue from me by having snipes placed on items that had bids.
