Try capitalizing the img. I think that was the only way I could get it to work. Just go down to General and practice all you want,we did! this is a tough one to get right. Wish I could remember all of it,but I slept since then.

The only thing different between the 1st try and the 2rd try is that I removed the blank before "[/img]". The caps don't appear to be important

using the instant ubbcode with image, I seem to be able to do it (fingers crossed) but not via my profile.
I checked my profile and there is no space before the closing [/img]. However I just noticed there was a blank after the opening [img] - let's give that a try

You were right. This topic did get dropped as a result of your deleting your post. I've never seen that happen before. I was able to bring it back by adding this post.

This is very weird.

I brought up this forum and couldn't see this topic.

Would you, or Mrs. M, or anyone mind adding another post to another forum, then deleting it to see what happens. Keep track of the wording on the topic that will allow you to use the "search" feature to find the topic and allow you to add another post to bring it back.

Rick, as you can see, it is working fine now. Perhaps that was something they worked on yesterday when we were down.

Did you try adding and deleting a post on a topic that hasn't been posted to since before the weekend? The weird things that were happening to this forum this weekend may have caused a problem with deleting posts on older topics. It would be a bummer if more "disappeared". I rather be paranoid then sorry.

Be paranoid, Rick. It is gone and I cannot get it back!! I brought up topic Hello!!! on the 16th. I added to it and then deleted! I can find nothing even in search! ...I also can't type today!

This happened to me ages and ages ago. In the test thread that we were all trying to get sig pix working. I deleted a post of mine and the whole thread disappeared. I thought it was just me coz Rick posted in there and it came back. Rick must of been typing as I was deleting coz I couldnt find it then 2 minutes later it was back.
