Happy holidays everyone!

Mrs. M.... I swear, when they come out with implantable internet access devices you are going to be first in line!

Waaah Frown I work from 2pm till around 9pm today and it's supposed to be almost 80 degrees here! Of course, rain is predicted for my days off! I guess I'll be pale for a few more months, unless I decide to brave the 60 degree overcast days at my favorite 'clothing optional' beach (no, that never seems to burn, although my bum got a little toasty last year and I had trouble sitting for a couple of days!) Smile
heh, I went out in my yard today to clean off some flower beds......there was a little breeze going towards my bad neighbors house.....he was on the deck with the other bad neighbors.....heh hehe. (need smiley with devil horns here)

I decided that the only way he might learn how irritating it is to have your nice day ruined by smoke is to give him a lesson.....so I strategicaly (sp?) placed my pile and lit it....and fanned it a little....heheheh....and added a few corncobs for good heat.....and hehheheh "oopsie" the smoke went right over to his deck. Then it got better. I thought they went inside but they got into the hot tub beside the deck.....ehehhhehe ....not for long. Must have been a little "irritating" to have that smoke right in their faces. I don't know why they didn't stay in there very long. WinkEspecially when hubby got a damp pile of yard waste and put on top and the smoke really rolled out.
Now, I must say that I could have been alot closer like he did to me. He was at the lot line, my pile was an acre away. And his pile was about 4 foot deep and 6 foot across. Mine wasn't even knee high. We'll see if he needs another lesson. Might have to get closer!
He proly didn't get it. Kinda slow in that area. Roll Eyes
I have a neighbor who has made a
race tract for his kids go carts
around his acres and along my west fence. When the wind is South I don't hear them but when it's North they sound like there in my lap. She just had her 4th boy so I figure I better get used to it for the next 10 years =long after I'm gone. I'll go along with it until the neighbors show up at the track. With their carts.
Neighbours - a word of caution To MGintern and others about to start a war - it can be expensive!

I returned home one day to find our hedge had been demolished with a chain saw and a ditch dug over the driveway (we share an entrance way). Needless to say, reasoning did not work and we resorted to solicitors. $3000 worth of letters later my solicitor said - we have him, now take him to Court! A little warning bulb glowed and I told my sorry tale to one of my customers, who happened to be a QC (fairly high up the Barrister tree) and he gave me a few words of wisdom which I pass on:

Paul, he said, the law favours the very rich and the very poor and you are neither. Leave him alone!

I did, and two years later he moved. We now have wonderful friendly neighbours.

So MGintern, don't provoke a fight - just encourage them to leave! Have you ever thought of car dismantling? Can make a nice garden look really dreadful! Alternatively, my cousin got rid of both her troublesome neighbours by buying a peacock - wonderful to look at, but very, very noisy!
