User ID spafons_comics on ebay is a fraud! He has just recently put up many fraudulent CGC comic books!

BUY BEWARE!

Over 30 or so buyers including myself have already canceled payment through PAYPAL.

He claims to have over 2000 CGC graded comic books 500 MILES AWAY AND NEED 1 MONTH TO HAVE THEM SHIPPED OUT!

BUYER BEWARE! I will have others add to **** forum to prove my point.

TAKE CARE ALL FELLOW AS SNIPERS! Eek

He's running a scam. I cancelled my payment thru my credit card company. The
phone number he has registered with ebay is not his. Sorry.

little skeptical. I just want to know what types of reasons that he gave to
other buyers for the late shipment and what not. I have just emailed all of the
winners to see if this is for real. Hey we need to be safeSmile

I cancelled my payments, as well as at least 1 other Ebayer who e-mailed me. If I were you, I would IMMEDIATELY cancel all payments. His reasons make no sense. And you have to remember, the reason for the 2-3 delay is just enough time for him to withdraw all the money from PAYPAL, close the account, and run with the money. BEWARE!

Thank you, Joe

it seems funny to me the guy has sold over 40 ultimate spiderman #1s
white cover df & red cover issues 9.2 9.4 and many wolverine orgin #1s in the past three days and he keeps adding more there is only about 300+ graded by cgc and this guy has 20% of all issues world wide many people have written me they were told he going to a wedding he got the issues for 2.00 each and the issues are in another state so he has to go get them. i also heard the number on his ebay info is not his. I know if i really had that many issues i would make easily double the money. you know what they say if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. I made my bids and then looked what else he had and thought to myself **** these books may not exist but nobody wants to miss a great deal. i would rather keep my money
and pay the extra 40.00 to 100.00 for something legit i have held off selling my
ultimate spidermans because these prices are killing the market and then there is going to be a lot of pissed off buyers so iam getting screwed twice.

write back with any info you may have jayson
i spoke to him, he is kind of tempermental, heres the message he sent me when i asked him what the story with his shipment said:

as stated in the auction 2-3 weeks.
This is the 30th email I have received asking when the comics will ship can't
you people read?
The contact info is old, it was accurate at one time. This is a prime example of
why have not updated it.
Every buyer of my current auctions would have called me and hounded me to sent
the comics sooner.
Well that's impossible and I don't intend to spend the whole day telling that to
people who can't read.
You can proceed with any investigation you want Ebay won't even listen to you
until 30 days past end of auction.
Here's the deal. I have the comics @ my Mom's house which has saved me a large
amount on shipping for a big lot I bought.
That is over 500 miles from me. I am going there for a wedding weekend after
next. I am getting the comics then and will
ship them the following week. I cannot get time off of work to make a special
trip for those of you who can't read.
Now you have the full story and rest assured the comics will arrive 2-3 weeks
from end of auction.
I you would like a full refund I will have no problem selling the comics @ the
Buy it Now prices I am asking.
You must also understand some of us have real lives and am not at the keyboard
all day. Some of us have to work.
So frantically sending multiple emails, filled with hollow threats, will not get
a quicker response if the person you are emailing is not at the computer.

Amen, Brother. Spafon_comics stinks. He threw a hissy fit when I asked him for
contact info. I'm glad someone else got the same result I did. That jerk sent a
NPB warning out against me. I told him I wasn't paying him a dime until I could
get some valid information. I wanted a phone number and address that I could
verify and he went ballistic. Thanks for sticking up for the rest of us.

... sellers that are ripping off buyers should be exposed as the criminals that they are. In one word, it is FRAUD. What better forum for exposure of such behaviour than right here where eBay buyers and sellers congregate? This comics seller is headed for trouble (whether he is bright enough to be aware of it, I'm not sure...). Possession is 9/10th's of the law and since this person doesn't have possession, then... hmmmmm. Is it even legal to sell merchandise that one does not have possession of? It appears there are many disgruntled buyers out there who will certainly be heard out and likely the majority will rule.ê
Lisa asks, "Is it even legal to sell merchandise that one does not have possession of?" The answer is "Yes, as long as one can deliver the goods one sells." Taking money and not producing merchandise is fraud -- in the case of eBay transactions, mail fraud. So if this bozo has actually stiffed any of you good folks, your local P.O. has a standard complaint form you can fill out and file with the Office of the Postal Service Inspector General. The investigators there have real badges and guns and arrest powers, and they don't play around. Let's see him try to bluster and bully his way out of that.
