Yellow Pink and Purple are Really hard to read in the density provided - But my Sony screen is two years old already. I have been clicking around trying to find pages
mentioned. Has anyone found a spelling checker anywhere? How long do we have to make a correction - in the forum or a snipe?
Haven't found a pole yet Mrs M: I'm afraid to Snipe maybe should wait a while until things settle down
Thanks Puppy: I am still trying to install Snipe It Now Again. but being Sat it times out before anything happens - may try again Monday. My major disapointment with AS is no time to correct errors and no spelling checker. It will really be nice if the originator has time to correct obvious errors. I'd like to trade in Bold, Gremlins or Colors for a Spell Checker - In fact I would trade all ten boxes above for a Spell checker
I wish Today was Easter Sunday - it is 70 - Sunny and a clear Blue sky. Gentle Breeze. We get 10 of these days a year now but used to get a hundred. I went to grade school in Great Falls Montana - they built Malmstrom AFB there because it is flat for 50 miles and has over 300 perfect clear days a year for planes to land. I miss this kind of weather. I think it has a lot to do with our total health.
Or Japan... even more expensive at over $5. Paris, Korea, Italy, Germany? It's more than $4 a gallon in any of those spots.

We have it so much better than most. (Unless you want to live someplace like Iraq.)

Not saying we shouldn't complain... I wouldn't be truly happy if I didn't have something to complain about... Just tossing about some 'food for thought' Smile
I buy only GENUINE SPRING WATER.. the Pride of New York..
In small print I see it says,
Processed by Carbon Filtration - Ultraviolet Treatment - Reverse Osmosis - Micro Filtration Plus - Ozonation - Source of Supply - The Municipal Water System of Greenville, TN. I don't know if this is the waste from the Space Shuttle or a sewer plant - It certainly isn't a Spring. But for $1.27 a gallon?
I can sell the water from the spring in my building but not out of the county. Now that
I've read the label. I"ll use my own spring water - at least I know where it's from and what's been done to it. Nadda
I never swallow the but it cost *** in another country. If you will look at the breakdown of how much of their 5.00 is pure tax, you'll understand where I am coming from. In Japan, houses are so expensive that you never really own them, but pass your mortgage down when you die. But, you and I live in America and I think we need to fight to keep our balance stable. If we are being ripped off, recognize it as that! "Sugar" on the gas doesn't make it better.
Lexie: went for Chinese and at the cashier they had Cadbury,

Cream filled, foil wrapped Easter Eggs - 1.32 OZ 38 gr. at 2 for $1 US,

My fortune cookie (which I dedicated to you) says You are filial, kind and
trustworthy ...

Now I haven't the slightest idea what the H that is so if it isn't
good forgive me... I have a feeling your going to be surprised at how much
Cadbury is everywhere. Just For You...

One thing I used to get is Cadbury squares filled with tart red
Rasberry Jam - but I havent seen them for awhile.
MRS M" speaking of Japan - Another time I missed the boat... In 1951 I could have bought the beautiful Home I lived in for $400 complete with Saunna Building and guest cottage.
Only one stop from the Ginza. It is now a High Rise Hotel. Instead I bought Mikimoto Pearls and fine Noritake China - very nice, but the home would have made me a million for sure.

Thanks so much Mory Big Grin I looked up Filial on the net and this is what I got....
quote:
Of, relating to, or befitting a son or daughter: filial respect.
Having or assuming the relationship of child or offspring to parent.
Genetics. Of or relating to a generation or the sequence of generations following the parental generation.

Thanks Again - I will think of you whilst I am stuffing my face full of Carbury
Mory, you've lived such an interesting life!

Some of those autographs would be worth some money, I should think.

By the way, walking aids your mental functions because the right-left-right-left cross-body motion helps stimulate the transmission of signals across the corpus collosum, which connects the two hemispheres of the brain.

That is why developmental neurologists believe it is so important for babies to crawl properly, too.
34!! Mory, you can still move them to a bid group.

  • Go to My Snipes
  • Click Manage BidGroup button
  • Fill in Create Folder info (leave the 'This folder is a bidgroup' box checked)
  • Click Create button
  • Back to My Snipes page
  • Tic all those little boxes on the left of each snipe
  • Next to the Move To button select the folder you just created
  • Click the Move To button
To see all Snipes, Select 'All Snipes' where it says 'Choose Folder:' and click 'All' where is says 'Choose Snipes'
Thanks Puppy: I printed that and put it in front for when I get the next buy set for memory. I really appreciate the information and how clearly you put it.
I already deleted some bids so am down to 16 which is OK as I see they have much more capacity than the ones I have now. When I got to thinking about Christmas I got the Idea of looking for those little alum precision flashlights as my firehouse gifts. I can't remember the name but the commercial had them being run over by a car. I'll find them at Walmart and then look on the net for a dozen.
Mrs M: I will have to find a Map - my mrmory is shot. I really enjoyed your posts today they are very helpful. I am following your lead times exactly and they really work good.
This afternoon they played Miracle on 34th St the new color version of the movie. It was OK but they didn't have the great ending when they bring in all letters to Santa from the PO and dump them on the judge.

Also I saved your welcome man with the Sandwich Board-- - such a Happy Welcome.
Good Night..and Thanks
Hi everyone. Almost time for bed now!! I have to slow down!! Got one side of the crib stripped and now the next is "soaking". I'm not getting the dresses done for my grandaughters fast enough. I really should mail them tomorrow. Do you think they would be dissapointed with the cut out pieces?? LOL Oh shoot, someday I'll learn. These trips every other day to therapy on my arm are taking too much time! 30 miles each way...and of course I have to stop at WalMart and JoAnn fabrics each time. Yikes!! I need to list some stuff and make some $$$$. It's getting near the slow season tho. Anyone else think selling sucks in the summer?
Mrs M: They didn't just colorize it - they remade the movie and changed the story after it started. All they did was keep the title and the story in the first reel.
Then it's a romantic comedy to the end in wide screen color - it ends with the town of NY coming to Times Square and the judge looking at a dollar bill... saying In God We Trust so there must be a Santa Clause.
I guess they are getting ready for High Def Color and need a new Christmas Movie for the Holiday. It is such a perversion of a great timeless classic. Think I'll go to Half Com and buy a copy of the original.
I can't bite my tounge any longer!

All you folks on the "oh dear, fuel is so expensive" thread....

It costs me the equivalent of $110 to fill up my van, and this weekend I will probably fill it three times. Eek

My standard of living would double if I only had to pay $30 (or the GBP equivalent) for diesel! Razz

Sorry I've been quiet BTW - REALLY busy just now.

SS
Sorry SS I do know we have it good - I do have another friend that has a Mail Contract and He has 60 days to go on his contract, He's really working for nothing but if he doesn't finish he can't bid on a renewal or new contract. They said our mail won't increase but it has to. Crude went to $40 yesterday so Californians will be paying $3 soon. but a lot less than you. When Canada & Mexico join the US
maybe gas will stabilize here. Thats of course if China and it's dollar stores don't take us all first.
Squeaky, We in America know that. When I was still working, I spent many years overseas. However, we don't live there and a rip off is a rip off. It does not cost anymore to pump it or send it this month than it did last month, so where does this boost in cost come from? Simple , political ripoff. We have a lot of oil right here ...capped off, in the ground.
More on Gas prices: Dated 4/1/2004
quote:
But the fact is oil and wholesale gasoline prices dropped abruptly this afternoon as the Bush administration said it was considering suspending clean air rules for three states -- California, New York and Connecticut.

The comments by Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham before a congressional hearing today knocked crude oil prices down nearly 4.1% to $34.30 and wholesale gasoline futures to $1.07, down 5.5%. Crude ended the day at a 7-week low.
Good News? Maybe... still waiting to see this at the pump.
Yes Puppy I sure hope that works - otherwise there is rumbling of challenging OPEC so they just released more for April. As Mrs M says the handling is the same - it's all about the Oil Co's & Politics.
I think this is just a push to get the President's energy bill passed which is a blank check for the Oil companies - It's a back-up for Bush if he loses the election.
Thanks Mory Smile
Now I have to get two curtains made for my other soon-to-be-born grandaughter's room. Should be a piece of cake compared to those dresses!!
Also congratulatons on your weight loss. I know 25 lbs isn't much compared to your goal, but it's uncomfortable for me and I have to get rid of it!! This is day two of my fasting and I'm loosing my resistance to the food here. But I'm going to try real hard not to give in. It's just that those apples over there look awful good, and a little peanut butter on them would really be good. *sigh* better go sew, or outside quick!! Eek
Thanks for the Kind Words..
I started at 538 and today
am 396. I have cut six inches
off my belt and am not getting
a new one. I threw out my 7X
shirts & today bought 3X which
which will be fine on Monday.
I no longer have a goal as I
hate failure - just one day at
a time. Actually I do have a
goal - It's to be comfortable
in an airline or theater seat
again. I can now get in one
but in two more months I will
.. be able to breath..LOL
Mory, when you were 538, were you able to walk much? You have done so well!! I am going to print out your last post and show my daughter. She went through some serious depression a few years back and went to over 400 lbs. She stayed in bed. She now weighs around 140 which is pretty normal for her 5' 7" frame. I know what she went through, so can understand what you are also going through. I have always been lucky to have a small frame and no weight problems. I realize how lucky I am. Again, Mory, you should be very, very proud!

I dip my apples in soft caramel, scrumptious!
Mory...Congratulations on your weight loss. I know it's been tough, but how rewarding. I only speak for myself but I find losing weight very easy. However, the decision to actually make the commitment to loose is another story, that's hard, since it entails a lifestyle change. MG, I fasted for 18 days once. After 3-4 days you don't even want to eat. The pounds do drop off but the risks are great. Looking back, I was stupid to do it. Just eat healthier foods and not as much and exercise more
I used to take apple slices and put them on a stick - dip in milk chocolate and roll in chopped Macadamia nuts. Three or four apples like that and you don't really need a desert...LOL I say it's the dipped cherries and glace orange that put on my weight.

Yes I got around good Mrs M: Though summers I used my Golf Cart a Lot mostly to get from cookout to cookout LOL Now
I can talk about food or even cook for other people It doesn't affect me - I can leave it.. It is stressfull when friends who know I am dieting say OH come on have a porkchop. They are in AA so I come back and say I'm going home and get a bottle and drink in front of you until
you stop pushing. Only then they stop.
Thanks Jake: My brother was always thin
it's just chemistry. MG: Eat the apples plain and slow or dice them with raisins which give you a energy boost. . Eat some Bran or shredded wheat you will lose weight so much faster and not be hungry. I go to a local Chinese buffet and just hit the salad bar for lunch for $4.50
I can't buy for $20 what I eat there let alone the hours to clean & cut things up. The only thing I take from the Hot table is Mushrooms. I really enjoy it. If I do the same thing after 5PM it's ten dollars. If I fill a plastic take out it comes to $8 to $10 even at lunch. I have done it to compare. I don't eat any of their dressing. Just much like a rabbit for an hour. Enuf of this food talk.....
You are right , Mory, it is chemistry. Even my own children differ. I have one son that is like me and has always been thin. My husband was very thin when we married , but got up to 240 later. Now that he is ill, he is 60 pounds lighter and constantly loosing.
Haven't heard from Jabber for a while! Hope he is not ill!
Sorry I didn't make it back here last night. Our wireless crapped out. Roll Eyes dumb thing. But I did get the curtains done!

The exercise program I'm tring does the fasting shakes (yucky) for two days and now I have to start the exercises and good diet.I lost 4 lbs over the two days so I was happy with that start. I really don't eat much. I don't like fried food, and greasy stuff.I do have a sweet tooth. But the antidepressants I was on from April last year until about three weeks ago made me gain weight.(they were to help me deal with my son being in Iraq) I wish the dr. would have told me that might happen!! I was getting depressed about my weight from taking them! I weigh 142 now. I know, some are saying that's not bad. But I'm only 5'2 and I have small bones. I should weigh around 120. I'd be very happy at 125. Just HATE my pants to feel tight! Heh, I picked up a couple of "gardening pants" yesterday at a garage sale. The were two sizes too big, and pretty sad looking. but they sure are comfortable for working in the garden.Which is what I have to do this weekend, AFTER I do the exercise program each morning. It's 6 days a week, for 6 weeks. Just in time for pool season! (what do you want to bet I can't move tomorrow Razz)
I wouldn't place any money against that bet! Wink
I love any kind of veggies or fruit. I also love cottage cheese mixed with about anything, including cereal and I love yogurt! I am not a big meat eater and I don't care for most fast foods. Candy and sweets, not big on my list. Sometimes they look good, but when I eat the, I usually don't finish them.
MG in a couple of days.

Yep 18 days of nothing but water. DON'T EVER DO IT. My seizures increased dramatically and by the time I wised up and decided to eat, I couldn't because my tongue was chewed up so badly from the seizures. I was in Phoenix with my dad while he was in the hospital; he broke his neck in a truck accident and was paralyzed from the neck down.
Mory...You sure do have good will power. If I went to a restaurant, I couldn't resist the things I like.
Mrs. M. Sounds like you eat a very healthy diet, very admirable. Veggies, yucky -- yogurt, yuckier--cottage cheese, mega yucky. If it’s good for me, ick. If it’s not, yum. I guess I take after my grandmother; she never had a green veggie in her life. When I went to visit her she would say, I need to go to the store, I'm out of staples. She meant candy bars, cookies, cakes, pies and ice cream. To her those were the five food groups.
Unbelievably puppy, I remember you telling me that before and I actually remembered it. I use village and PB because I can categorize the pixs. The memory isn't what it use to be so I always appreciate hearing things again and again and again. Hey, sounds like I should be married. Calm down ladies, remember the guy bashing the other day!
Jake, if it is on the internet, just right click on the pix...choose properties...go up to the box that pops up and highlight the url completely. Then right click on the highlighted area and click copy.. and cancel the box...go to where you want to post it...if here, click on the display image and then click paste and ok.
JAKE!! awwww SmileThanks!! That garden poem is beatiful. I put it in my file Smile

The straw is moved. Phew!! good thing we don't have chat-scent!

I discovered I did looose a few of my new Iris despite all my work to protect them. FrownI have to check my books, I only hope they weren't the really expensive ones. Eek

Puppy, thanks for the edit on Mike. Razz Men don't believe it, but women do not want to look at that!
Did everyone go to bed??? I should too. I listened to the news and we lost 12 soldiers today. Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown Frown I feel so bad for their moms.
I wish my son hadn't gone back. He'll soon be in a convoy again, and that's so scarey. Bah, stupid terrorists.
I'm goin to bed and hope there is a message from him in the morning. .......
It's almost Midnight 11:46 and I'm Done
off to bed again.
No Im in upstate New York 200 miles North
OF NYC. This will probably be our last snow
but last year my Daffodils were up and blooming
and got buried. This time of year
the snow doesn't stay more than 3 or 4 days and melts.
April is usually showers & freezing rain.
Heh, I'm waiting to see how long it will take for my hubby to change the clocks. We had a long discussion on Sat. about how he leaves everything but mowing the grass to me.(and that's only because I refuse. I'd be mowing and he'd be golfing!) He really doesn't even think about it, just expects me to do everything.Says he "doesn't notice" messes and things! Have I spoiled him or what!!??? Darn babies of the family! Don't mean to say he's lazy or not a good guy, just spoiled!
Now the clock in the living room is stuck on 4:50. LOL I bet it's a week before he says anything!!!
Men strike back! !

How many men does it take to open a beer?
None. It should be opened when she brings it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is a Laundromat a really bad place to pick up
a woman?
Because a woman who can't even afford a washing
machine will probably never be able to support you.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do women have smaller feet than men?
It's one of those "evolutionary things" that allows
them to stand closer to the kitchen sink.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you know when a woman is about to say
something smart?
When she starts a sentence with
"A man once told me."
-------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you fix a woman's watch?
You don't. There is a clock on the oven.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If your dog is barking at the back door and your wife
is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first?
The dog, of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
What's worse than a Male Chauvinist Pig?
A woman who won't do what she's told.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I married a Miss Right.
I just didn't know her first name was Always.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Scientists have discovered a food that diminishes
a woman's sex drive by 90%.
It's called a Wedding Cake.

Women will never be equal to men until they can
walk down the street with a bald head and a beer
gut, and still think they are sexy.
It is very exciting - Only thing close to it was Old Faithful..
.Both made me want to Pee which was a mile away
I still want to shoot the Grand Canyon rapids in a rubber boat
I used to be scared but did a Bungee Jump and now am willing

Jake: Hundreds of Seniors go back there
for Wedding renewals every day...But they
have several muggings a day of Seniors - couples
and singles. they have an enormous
SecurityForce but it keeps happening
- Very Sad Times.
My Dad & Stepmother were mugged and beaten
at Death Valley campground...Dad had Eight
Thousand in a floor safe...they beat him till
he opened it. Didn't have a dime or credit card
when it was over. Four other couples loaned him
money to get back to Seattle. Times have changed.
He had two two legal guns with them- they hit at
breakfast - Alyce making coffee - He had a habit
of stepping out to Pee instead of filling the
holding tank. He was two weeks in Hospital
before he could drive home. After that, all
they did was fight because Alyce refused to learn
to shoot even though he was getting
beat to death. I say If you weren't there, who are we
to judge. After that she learned to shoot with a
girlfriend at 76 now ain't that amazing. I used
to call her Candy Ass Alyce. But had to change it to
Pistol Packin Alyce. I also used to call them
Pistol & Pisser...A year later they talked a lot at
Senior Lunches - about the experience but never
camped or RV/d again.
It's noon, the snow has melted in the morning sun
and it's a beautiful Spring Day..
28 last night and now it's 60.. I am waiting for
the Road Runner installer - anytime in the
next three hours depending how his morning
installation went. Just downloaded all my
addresses in case all is lost. Talk with
all later when the new line gets installed -
it's my first upgrade in 8 years. But I
like to say if it works don't fix it.
Hey, where's my favorite ebay auction writer??? I need a good ad to sell, or give away my stupid neighbors. So far in the seven years we've lived here (we were here first) they have, damaged a large number of plants, trees etc in our yard by spraying dandelions with a tank sprayer on a 20 mile / hour wind day. (That one cost them!) Their dog barks 24/7 and all they do is say "Flip!".( I have behind my back!) Family members visit and stare at us while we are in the pool because they want invited in. And yesterday, once again, as I was out in the yard working, he decided it was the ONLY day to burn a huge pile of grass and yard crap WITH THE WIND BLOWING OVER TO OUR HOUSE! I'm allergic to smoke and he know's it. And, he lit this huge fire right beside my young pine trees. Now, everyone here has at least one acre yards. And he is so dumb he thinks the only place to burn his crap is right next to my trees. I told him it better not have hurt the trees. He said, well I watered them before I burned. DUHHHHHHH, I want to tell him to wet his face and then I'll aim a blow torch at him and see if he can feel the heat. Grrrrrr. So I REALLY need to get rid of them. Any good ads? heh , after we sell these off we'll start on the kids with the foulest loudest mouths I've ever heard, (and I grew up in the barn! I've heard alot!) Or are driving their 3 & 4 wheelers up and down and up and down and up and down our dead end street. The live on the next street over!
There's my vent. I'm going to search ebay for a book called "being a good neighbor for dummies"
I just can't understand how they can be so self centered to not know what they are doing will affect the neighbors. The guy used to be a school principle!!! No common sense at all. The next chance I get I'm going to move my burn pile from the opposite side of my yard next to his. And the wind will be blowing right at his house. Hopefully when he has company on the deck!!! LOL payback is hell !! Especially when you piss off this Swiss girl! Mad
