You might have been taught right..or maybe not...probably it is a matter of judgement...or maybe not. Does that confuse you? Well, it was meant to do that....or maybe not.

That might be a little personal,R. How's the weather where you are?

Most weather I’ve seen usually covers several square blocks. I’ve never heard of someone having their own personal weather - it tends to be a shared experience. People comment on the weather in stores, but I always thought this to be a light subject, or “small talk”.

EXACTLY!! How IS your weather, Rick???

I’m sure not getting very many answers to my various questions. Is the weather now something you would rather not discuss? This is going to make it difficult to have conversations with you this winter.

See, that was pretty easy! It is reached 67 today and sunny, 56 tonight and fair, but going to bound back into the seventies. I just came back from Naples yesterday. It was very humid and hot there, reaching 90 in the day. And, since you brought it up, Rick, if you would be a little nicer in your posts, it would not be so hard to post with me! I used to post to you a lot!

I don't like to answer your questions because I get sick of you repeating everything I say like a little child. It gets very old. Sorry.

Sure is, Rick, but singular (at least in UK) has no 'e'
As for pronunciation - Mrs M - I have learnt something; I always thought that Americans pronounced them 'to - may - toe' and 'po - tay - toe' whereas us Limeys, just to be awkward, pronounce 'to - mah - toe'
Which is more popular in the U.K. - “nay – toe” or “nah – toe”?
no no NO IT'S TOMATTA as in Alligatta and Potaytta. You should see people stare when I say "pass the cachup pleeze" As in I'll catch up with you...Thats just West of the Missippi River in the USA. It just used to be West of the Rocky Mountains but our bad English is
spreading. I think it started with the
"Heinz" commercial to get attention about 40 years ago. I know in school if I said it that way I'd get wrapped on the nuckles

Lol, Mory, usually only the boys got the knuckle treatment!

Us Aussies say "tom-mart-toe" but "pot-tay-toe", well actually we say "tators".

I know that Dan Quayle famously stuck an 'e' on the end of 'potato' on a school blackboard, but does the US version of 'tomato' have one as well? I am intrigued, as Lexie also uses this
Yeah, but, Lexie likes to make up her own stuff quite frequently

It's all "spuds" to me!

Interesting - usually 'ketchup' here, but also 'catsup' which I think was the original word (from Hindi?)
Hate the stuff, anyhow - give me some decent Dijon mustard any day

Neither* really, Rick - we would like to say 'nay' to NATO
*Oh no! Is that 'nee-ther' or 'nie-ther'?

Sara did edit Lexie’s post regarding the use of the triangle
Mory, just wanted to thank you for the tomato pie recipe. It wasn't the one I have been searching for, but it was very good!

Mory, did you set your type on your laptop to large yet? Remember we discussed doing that on your desktop unit?
Haven't found the larger type yet - i HAVE on the E-mail - all my friends are
kidding me so I knocked off the BOLD but kept the 12 point. The default is 10 pt so everytime I e-mail I crank it up to 12./ I don't know if it's possib le to raise the default to 12pt.?
This afternoon I read most of the posts
since 2002 - WOW - a lot of water under the bridge.
Then I went to Infopop and read the six steps to a Successful Online Community and a couple years of Beta testing input. and a breakdown of what is EVE - Thrive - Chime -UBB.X. Then finding the customers using Infopop I surfed a couple forums that did not require membership. They list about 30 permissions. I am just about ready to start a website and the prices for personal use of Infopop are reasonable
I would do it right away but have been trying to finish a little home movie.
This week I cleaned the furnace installed
new jet, filters and stack - then installed a new washing machine. Then the jet pump failed on my water system - replaced it but found the problem - the expansion tank
was water logged. It was installed with no drain so did a 3/4 copper drain. So now I have water pressure again and the
pump doesn't cycle on every time I open a faucet or flush. Thanks to some newly invented plastic compression fittings I didn't have to solder anything - and nothing leaks. Then I hung a new fluorescent over my pastry bench. I had to keep busy the election coverage was driving me nuts - now it will be a re-hash for weeks. Shot some 2nd anniversary
wedding pictures for the kids next door so tonight I am printing them until my paper runs out. I have a new HP 950 printer scanner fax with ports for my camera cards. It prints proof sheets - you delete the bad ones then check mark the prints you want - put the proof sheet on the scanner and it makes your prints. amazing

Mory, go to the control panel and open Display..click on appearances and at the bottom you can enlarge the type. Also, in Accessibility in the control panel you can change the colors of the type that you see to make it easier to read.
