What's up with some of the newbie ebay sellers???? I purchased a purse on Feb. 10th, paid via paypal almost immediately (within 2 hours of win). Seller left positive feedback right away said she'd ship out.

Claimed she got sick over the weekend and mailed on the 17th. (The weekend was 4 days AFTER I paid her....

Emailed again, said she got the package back because she had the wrong address. (She had the address from paypal, as well as from an email from myself), that was on the 27th or so, then said she'd mail out that day and provide a tracking number via USPS.

Ok, get the tracking number on March 1st, check it out on USPS, "tracking has not been purchased on this item."

So am I to assume that the package is actually on it's way? or not? Still have not received, This ones getting a big fat NEGATIVE for SURE! Contacted seller again, no response.

You know, it's not even the money (it was cheap enough) it's just the principle of the thing. I've been selling and buying on ebay and yahoo for over 4 years and have 100% positive feedback and I guess I'm expecting too much....

She has 100% positive as well, but only 36 total....THAT'S IT....I'm steering clear away from any seller that has less than 200 no matter what!!!!

Has anyone else had this problem? This is honestly probably only the 2nd bad experience I have had. (so I guess I'm lucky!)

Ok, I'm done ranting now...Have a nice night

Just consider this your once every couple year bump in the road.
...and you lucked out and got a cheap one!     Smile

I've been on eBay over 4 years too, but don't buy and sell that much. I'm a great seller... but won't meet your new criteria.

Lots of people with high feedback, because things normally go well. If a problem comes along, things still turn to crap.

It's in our warehouse somewhere, we just have to find it.

If I hear that one more time....

I know I did get off cheap, and I agree with your point regarding "it's in the warehouse....I don't only look at feedback, but negatives as well...how long ago they were, etc. as well as how long they've been a registered user....maybe that's what I should be looking at instead...

If I came across someone such as yourself who maybe doesn't sell that much, or doesn't have a higher number or whatever, if I noticed you'd been registered for a long time I probably would buy....
Also, depending on if I really, really wanted (or needed, but that's usually not the case...he he he)then I guess I'd try.

It just gripes me sometimes because ebay is such a great way to buy and sell that people try to scam it, sell scams, take your money and leave or re-register or whatever....

I guess that's life though hey? A few bad apples..........

Thanks for the reply
I buy a fair bit on ebay but sell alot more than I buy, and I welcome low feedback users and have bought off them successfully many times.

Its very hard to generalise what kind of sellers/buyers to buy from or sell to. For the most part I find low feedback users try and do everything by the book. They soooo want to get a Positive Feedback and get their numbers up.

My problem is just the opposite. I won the auction, received positive feedback and the items and my paypal payment was returned to me because the seller's email was not valid. Seller emailed me said everything is fine now so I sent another payment and it was returned as well. I sent him another email informing him his paypal email is not linked (as per paypal reps). Hope he doesn't slap me with a NPB. Watta ya do?
