Do I have to bid before Auction Sniper will work?

If there are no bids placed on an item, do I need to make the first bid manually or will Auction Sniper do it at the end of the auction?

Place your bid on Auction Sniper only. they will take care of the rest. No reason to show interest before the end, lest a bidding war erupt.
