Did I do this right...fast answer needed

I am the highest bidder on an item on Ebay.. but the auction doesn't end till 2am so I don't want to have to sit up to make sure I win. So I set the AS to what the total max I will pay for this item.. which is 25 dollars more then my current high bid (just found out these are sold out in the stores). Will AS raise my bid even against myself or will it cancel out if it try's to bid against myself?

HELP while I still have time to cancel the snipe.. if I have to I'll stay up this time and use AS next time.
