Hi All!

I just wanted to pose a question to you folks who have more experience at eBay SELLING than I have. While this is a forum for snipe bidding, I'm quite aware that there are several VERY experienced eBayers here that have experience on BOTH sides of the bid screen! Smile

As a seller, I of course would like to receive the HIGHEST amount I can for the items put up for bid. I have a few old items which I would classify as collectibles -- some older US currency, old guitar, old camera -- you know, STUFF! I was concerned about the timing. I was thinking that perhaps the best time to post these items may be in January after New Year's. At that time, all the holiday hooplah will be over, winter will have gripped the USA, and people will have time to while away on the computer spending money they can't afford on trinkets, baubles, & beads from eBay auctions (or adding to their collections)!

Are there any particular times of the year that are better than others for certain items on eBay?
Of course, I'm asking from a SELLER's viewpoint, so "better" would mean higher final bid prices! Wink

I'd be interested to hear some viewpoints.

Thanks!

If you list in January wait until about the 10th. By then eBay sales are back to normal. By the end of January they're usually actually as busy or busier than they are in late November and early December which is the peak time for eBay each year.

Good times to end your listings are Sun->Tues 5:30pm->8:30pm pacific time.

Depending on what it is you are selling, of course. If it is an item that would be classified as a gift, of course, now is the hot time. However, jabber, your items, like a lot of things I sell are not really what I would classify as seasonal. In my opinion, I agree with Sara. My best season is mid January until mid spring. Smile
