This forum is much too quiet. Where is everybody?
I found an interesting web site. Here it is. You'll find a lot of worthwhile reading there if you click on the stuff that's on the refrigerator.

That looks fuel efficient, Mike, but I prefer sending tourist around in this mobile home:
It uses a renewable source of energy, especially when there are wars going on, and it provides employment as well as affordable housing (retirement plan isn't all that hot).
Row, row, row your boat.

Mike, don't forget to take a roll or two of duct tape along to use on your little camper.

Which one? I would have thought U.K. had laws against that.quote:Originally posted by Mike from West Yorkshire:

And what is a Kelly Kettle?
In the UK the car's number stays with it for its life - we have a seperate tax disk which is renewed annually (or 6 months at a premium). So there is a big market in Number plates being transfered to other cars with numbers like COM1C fetching fortunes.quote:...by the time I got through all of that plate bit, it would be time to renew it...

Back to number plates - I worked out that
WY 51 WYG
would be good to have - sadly it sold for 1,900 of our UK pounds!
Then people try to make words by combining letters. eg 1 and 3 to make a B
hence HOT 130Y sold for £3,700 in Nov 2001.
I think it's daft - we should be able to have real words!
