Hey, Rick, wanna borrow a utility knife? Personally, I prefer to open the packages. Especially since I usually paid a bit less for the shipping than I did for what's inside...

And having been on the receiving end of packages that got "caught in automated mail processing machinery", I appreciate the precaution!

But I agree about sending the tracking numbers. don't know how many times I've emailed a seller to say "hey, I Paypal'd you more than a week ago, and you never responded -- did you get the payment, and when was the widget shipped?"

Sometime between 10:30pm and 11:30pm we'll be taking the site down for about 15 minutes to make an upgrade to a server.

All snipes will be placed, however they may be placed up to 20 minutes early during that time.

That gives us enough time to pull the server out of the colo facility rack, open it, make the changes, and then insert it back in and reboot the server.
