Don't know how to solve that. Maybe I could go on a swing shift? It would be nice to be on the forum with you then - a lot less noise.

Nope I am disease free, apparently I was never infected, (after 4 different virus checks) this virus is really strange....this is what happened.....I got an email from "Mail Delvery Service" that said I had tried to send a file to a "sales@tgsomething.com" at 12.43pm yesterday, that contained the My Doom virus. Firstly, I went back through my sent emails....I didnt send anything to that addy, I was in town shopping at that time and when I went to that site it was a Yankee Internet provider. Hubbie tells me that someone who has my email addy in there system has the virus. The nasty little thing tried to send itself to me in the form of a Mail Delivery Service email (this is documented everywhere), even had the attachment. Luckily I didnt open the email, I just used previewer to see what it was. We did the Command Prompt search to double check and I am clear!!! Big Grin

Lexie, that's happened to me, too, and (luckily) it doesn't mean you have the virus, necessarily. Some of these viruses pick an email address at random, and insert it into their "from" line. Then they send themselves out to whoever they can. If the virus sends itself to an address that doesn't exist, the Mail Subsystem sends back one of those error messages... but since your name was on the "from" line, the error message goes to you.

Follow? Kinda like if I mailed a letter-bomb to Rick, but I put your return address on it, and Rick had moved... (sorry, Rick, I couldn't resist! Wink )

Just DON'T open the attachments, and you should be fine.

Well I have been online many a year and never had a virus (touching my wooden desk here). I never open anything unless I know who its from and as I send emails to friends where I used to work (Mega Super Duper HUGE International Company), my puter is covered my by their virus protection and gets updated daily (they dont want you sending nasties there way) - they actual have their own team of IT ppl that work on these things.

Thats why I was so pissie about thinking I had one
