eBay has been rolling out changes accross their servers over the night of the 18th. The change that affects Auctionsniper is a change to what text eBay displays in the title field of an eBay auction page. The title field is what is displayed in your Browser header bar.

eBay used to display the title, item # and end date. They have changed to only display the title. We are currently updating our site to compensate for this change.

During this time, new snipes are not able to be added to the system. All existing snipes will be placed as normal.

We will have the site updated within an hour.

We are currently in the process of propagating the update of Auctionsniper.com to our servers. You may be kicked off of the site while this happens but will be able to reconnect within a couple minutes afterwords.

I'll post again when all servers are updated and adding snipes is working as normal again.

Thanks for everyone's understanding on this as we adjust our site to work with eBay and also thanks to our programmers for finding the root issues and making the updates so quickly!

In the chaos of getting everything fixed and back up, it looks like I forgot to post back to the boards to confirm that things are working.

Shortly after my previous post, the site was back up and functional. Snipes were able to be added as normal and we were able to properly detect if you won or lost the item again on snipes that were placed.

If anyone has an ongoing issue adding snipes into Auctionsniper, please let us know ASAP with the auction # you're trying to snipe.

Thanks to all our loyal snipers for baring with us as we made the changes required and best of luck on your future snipes!
