I am still pining after my first lost snipe yesterday! GRRRRR! The item was a VERY nicely done oil painting ending at $112.00. My auctionsnipe.com bid was $225.00. The REASON given for losing was 'not enough time'?? Yes I added the snipe with 30 minutes to go on the auction, but had NO IDEA that the bid would not be successful. And sure enough... First of all as a newcomer, I had no idea that this was going to happen. Second, You would think they would not even allow a bid like that to be entered if it was just going to fail anyway? OR at least a warning message saying, there is not enough time? Lastly, does anyone really know how much lead time you need to enter a bid? First time shame on them, second time shame on me?

Chase,

I think the problem was not when you listed your snipe, but the time you alloted for it. Sunday PM is very busy on Ebay. I normally set my snipes for 8 seconds, but on Sunday 5 to 8:30 PST and on the hour, half, and quarter, I add 10 to 15 seconds to my snipe time to allow for the heavy traffic. This is just my opinion of what to do. Wink
