I think that is one of the most idiotic things I have ever seen anyone actually bid on. Just shows you..never throw anything away! LOL!

46.816 hits and counting.
Good morning, Mrs. M.

I have got to add this to this post. What a waste of money. Think how much food that would buy someone that is in need. We certainly have too much today or at the least our priorities are not in order.

Good Morning Rick, Mrs M and KittyMum - bjt here.
That is so funny!! Just goes to show you a well-written description can really help sell an item!
I was astounded at the number of hits this thing is getting. It's up to $56.00!
I am shaking my head right now and running to the ceiling tiles of my house to see if I can find something to sell!

Oh, bjt, put your head back down before a spider drops on your face! LOL!...On the other hand, you could probably auction it as the spider that fell on your head while you were searching for undies in your ceiling!

Ha Ha Ha!!
That listing is so zany!
I imagine people are getting caught up in the craziness of it all.
With over 46,000 hits, SOMEONE's gonna bid on it.
I think I have a dust bunny or two I could sell.
I do have one question though, the listing says it is coming from West Virginia, but it is listed on eBay Australia.
How does that work?

Btj, it just list the AU exchange, not where the person lives at the price. I read here ME and I would say US for sure.

Oops! Sorry, I reversed your name!

No problem,
So why does the seller have it listed AU dollars if they live in West Virginia?
I guess I don't understand the benefit.
(my confused newbie face)

Hmmm...because they want to. It is listed first in US, I think, isn't it? I mean really, is anything on this auction normal?

Wait - I should say why does the seller have it listed on eBay AU if they live in the US?

I suppose you can select eBay Australia from eBay's main page, and then list an item through that site. Why do that? God knows. This seller's a realllly weird sister (but intelligent). Martinsburg WV is in the Eastern Panhandle of the state, due south of Hagerstown MD about 25 miles if you want to look it up on a map. It's the seat of Berkeley County.
LOL,Steve, we don't want to visit the person! And, yes you can add another exchange if you wish.

This may help: Think of "blt", then change the "l" with a "j".
Good morning bjt and Steve.
Yes, Rick, I will do that...but then, at my age I'll probably type grilled cheese!

I think I will change my name to blt so everyone gets it right!
Here's some observations on this auction (one is a bit gross):
1) Take a look at the amount of bid retractions.
2) These auctions using don't end up successful. If the number of hits gets very high (say 150,000) and not a high price, ebay may shut it down. Probably something to do with their expense/revenue ratio. Also, auctions with high hits, tend to drag in those that are looking to get their 15 minutes of fame. Steve, do you remember the bruised buns skater? We all had a good time on that, but the high bidder never paid and the seller left him a neg, and he didn't relist.
3) This happened to another person, only they found panties. The panties, thru dna testing, were used to convict a prior resident of a murder/rape. (Just thought you'd enjoy that with your coffee).
P.S. Thanks "blt".

Yikes!!
You're right that last one was a bit gross and disturbing.
Interesting info on the way these auctions go, though.
It helps answer a lot of questions I had about the whole thing.
I have never run into anything like that in my sheltered life.

Rick, honestly, some people must not sleep at night, staying awake to think theses things up!
Bjt, naaa, I like your name. It keeps me on my toes.

Well, KittenMum sure gave us something to talk about this morning!
Rick, you a wealth of information and little known facts - you astound me.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Ya, I remember that inline skater with the badly bruised buns (how's that for alliteration?). Even Sara B. got into that discussion. Her comment was, as I recall, "Ouch!"
Gosh, I missed that one.
Sounds like I really missed out

Steve,
I couldn't disappoint you. I knew you knew I'd do that, but did you knew I knew you knew?
P.S. Mrs. M, this DOES require an "adult" sign-in, so take the auction # with you - it's still out in ebay land.
<--- maybe I better ask my mother!

Rick, I knew that you knew I knew you knew. So nu?

Whoa!!
I would sell the skates too!
I think that comes under the heading of TMI (too much information)

Mrs. M,
"straight"/"in-line" skates - was that a pun?
Well, it wasn't a double entendre!

It was won by been_there*done_that(4) for 66 bux. BTDT has a small number on his/her feedback file, but it is all extremely positive. God knows what BTDT wants with the "wierd, gross bra that fell out of my ceiling;" maybe, BTDT is one of those people who like women's used, soiled undergarments. There's gold in them thar hampers!

If may be that she was hoping to get some of the 93,425 viewers of that auction to look at her "Me" page:
http://members.ebay.com.au/aboutme/been_there*done_that/
Do you think

If that was her objective she succeeded 'cause I looked her up. Nothing extraordinarily weird there.
Rick, how do you suppose all those people found out about her auction?

BTW, just so you won't think I have completely deserted you, Rick, I am going to be gone for a few days. I'm taking my great granddaughter and my husband who has Alzheimer's, on a trip north somewhere. It ought to be a blast!
