When I looked at the satellite most of the activity was closing in on Rockford. There were all kinds of severe weather warnings. Were you affected? 
Tornados are terrible!! I have actually been as close as 2 miles to where a tornado hit and destroyed an entire town! Hurricanes...been in many and cannot say I fear them. Generally if you use your head and prepare, you are fine. The worst natural desasters I have seen have been in countries where they don't have the knowledge or materals with which to prepare!
Rockford is just 40 minutes east of us, and the storms slid just above us and below. Like we were in a bubble!! It sure was noisy for a while!
I guess Mother Nature knew your garden needed more time to recuperate from HER last visit and spared you, this time anyway.
Mrs. M….Someone I know in Texas was in a tornado. After it was over only 4 feet of the hallway remained. The houses across the street were virtually undamaged. If we get a quarter to half inch of rain or a few near microscopic hail stones it makes the front page of the paper, MAJOR STORM HITS VALLEY.
