I agree, there is a great, shameful, gloating when you pull one off. I just did that yesterday on an anchor rope/chain combo. There was another bidder, I just left it sit and had my bid in with AS. I won. at a fantastic price.

If bid the most, you should have won.

The fact that you waited for the last possible second had little to do with your win, the fact that you were willing to pay the most earned you the win.

I suppose there could have been 2 seconds of rejoicing for those other bidders, however I doubt they noticed this.

I am new here, did I miss something?

look at the times...

One guy sniped at 7 seconds the other at 9 seconds.

Considering they basically doubled the existing bid I'm quite sure they felt they would have gotten it.

I know I won because I bid more. That is obvious. I was commenting on the "poor smucks" who thought they had the bird in the hand only to have it empty.

Yeah- It is gloating. And no, I'm not altogether proud I am mocking these people.

But you have to admit that as a sniper, ya gotta look at that and get a chuckle.

(Especially since we have all been the "smuck" from time to time.)
