I'm just trying to do my first snipe on an ebay item I'm watching from here in the UK but I'm getting this error message when trying to import it: 'The Max bid is in the wrong format'.

I can't figure out what this means and it doesn't appear to be in the FAQs. Under the 'import snipes box it says ':Note: The amount shown on "Max Bid" represents the current price of the item.' So I'm assuming this isn't something I change.

Does anyone know what this means? Is it something to do with currency (the item is showing in UK Pounds). Any advice on how I get around th problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks

David

I finally was able to duplicate your error.

Aparantly, AS is still working on all the UK options or eBay has made a change that AS is still working on. I was able to import an item I found on the UK eBay by:

Go to My Snipes.
Click on the US flag. (not the UK)

You should now be able to import from your watch list. That may mess up your bid increments, as they are different for US dollars, but will NOT mess up your bid amount. The currency is not sent from AS. That is determined by eBay and how the auction is listed.

That's just a work around, but better than nothing. I'm sure Sara will see this and pass on the info, or supply a better answer.

and to the forum ! Good Luck !

Being a patriotic sort of person, I immediately clicked on the but whilst it's still under development (or should that be underdeveloped!?) I've reverted to being as the causes too many problems. As a programmer it worries me that software is released whilst it is not working but that seems to be the AS way - maybe it's to get us to test it rather than the QA team, thus keeping costs down?!?!
