Wiould auctionsniper bid against me?

There is an auction that ends in a few hours that I would really like to win. I am going to try AS for the first time but have two questions. Will the Ebay maximum bid beat the AS maximum bid? For example:

Buyer 1 (using Ebay): Maximum bid $100.00
Buyer 2 (using AS): Maximum bid $110.00

8 seconds before the end of the auction the highest offer is $70.00
7 seconds before the end, AS offers $75.00 for Buyer 2
After that Ebay allows Buyer 1 to win at $80.00

If the above is true would the following be a good idea?

One minute before the end of the auction I place the same maximum bid with Ebay as I did with AS. Would AS recognize me and NOT bid against me?

Highest bid wins (assuming ebay increments are reached). AS only places one bid, the amount you specify. Ebay’s bidding system decides who will win. There’s no difference between your placing a manual bid and a snipe – only the snipe is in the last few seconds of the auction.
